What are the differences on the prices on dodonpachi (mostly new to the import scene)?

The first link is the Sata Kore re-release. The second link is the original release. Although, I was under the impression that the Sata Kore re-release of DDP on Saturn was actually worth more than the original...?

Yeah. Don't worry about the collector BS, just go with the cheaper one. Gameplay is the same on both releases.

Raiden DX is pretty much the only game you need to worry about in that regard. The original release has a demo of Battle Balls. Unless you plan on buying BB full version separately, of course.

I ask because my wife ordered the $50.00 version for me for Valentines day and she asked me if that was the one that I wanted (gave me a printed copy of the receipt with the picture of the game in the morning), and I said that was the correct one. She is very sensitive if I correct her in her purchases because she tries hard to get me what I want; she hates my game collection but she tries to make me happy. Should I tell her that she should of gotten me the $30 version instead?

I would not tell her that it's more or less the same. Just tell her it's all nice and fine. Don't want to get her upset over 20$.

Why would you even consider asking that question? It's not constructive by any means...

Anyway, the originals are always worth more than the Satacore versions, no exceptions. You could sell your copy of DDP (heaven forbid) for about the same amount so no real worries there anyway.

I ask because she hates any amount spent on games (that is why I'm surprise that she got me this) and I just hope she wont put this in my face when birthdays comes around, heh. But I'm going to keep it because hey its dodonpachi

and I think it was a nice gift from my wife.

Hah, this reminds me when my Girlfriend searched lots of gaming stores here in Rio de Janeiro looking for Zanac X Zanac, because she wanted to give it me as a gift.

She had heard me talking about this game someday, about how much I wanted it...

One day whe came to me, and said "Oh.. that game, Zanac X Zanac, it's real hard to find it, isn't?"

I never knew she was looking for it

Then she told me she had gone at lots of places and didn't find it
