Sorry if this has been talked about before in this topic, but how's Hyrule Warriors? I haven't played any Dynasty Warriors-style games before, mind you.

I bought it a few months after release. I played a few missions for about 20 minutes and just did not touch it again. Was not my cup of tea. I actually was quit bored with the game.

I never touched a Dynasty Warriors game before either but I did pick up One Piece Pirates Warror 3 for the Vita and PS4 and I had a ton of fun with that game.

So.... yhaa my conclusion is that the game sucks get Pirates Warriors 3 instead lol

Again I only spent max 30 minutes with the game. I barely gave it a chance so you can pretty much say I didn't even touch the game.
Maybe other users here would chime in with positive feedback.

Having played the 3DS port a little bit, I came to the conclusion that it is a nice game to relax and unwind. I recently 100%'ed Senran Kagura Burst, which I thought was super fun. Hyrule Warriors scratches a very similar itch, minus the sexual innuendo and a cast of hot anime chicks, of course. Frankly, with Nintendo games you can basically just buy whatever you think might be a game you enjoy, and in the worst case you'll sell the game for roughly the same amount of money you paid. So, if Hyrule Warriors appeal to you, just get it.

Didn't have such luck with Super Mario Galaxy (the price I got for mine - in pristine shape - wasn't quite what I'd paid for it). Which was nowhere near my biggest problems with the game.

Man, every time I go to the store and check out the video game section, I can't help but notice that the initial prints of Rodea the Sky Soldier Wii U with the Wii version included are still on the shelves. Either that initial print run was pretty big, or literally no one bought it. Given the reviews, I'm guessing the latter. Considering it sells for half the price now, I almost feel silly having payed full price for the pre-order.

Upcoming Zelda will also be coming to the NX, and has been delayed again, to 2017...incidentally, the NX's worldwide release date was also announced as March 2017.

Nintendo is pulling another Twilight Princess where they hold off on releasing the new Zelda to push more sales of their new console. Once the NX releases you can easily find Zelda on that console but the Wii U version will be extremely hard to find or found a month or two later.

I was so pissed it happened to Twilight Princess on the Gamecube and when the game was finally released I found it almost two months later on store shelves.... which was actually the 2nd last copy the retailer had in stock too.

I'm super pissed about this move..... Wii U owners bought the system to play Nintendo games and pulling this with Zelda again leaves an even bitter experience with the Wii U considering there is barely anything available on it.

Should have known this was coming.... that whole lie about delaying it for quality reasons was BS!

Heh.

Well, it looks like Nintendo spent all their energy over the last 4 years on censoring boobies to make sure teenage boys won't get pesky unwanted boners and become remotely interested in buying their consoles. Probably.... not the best move, business wise.

The depressing thing about this, besides the fact that you're getting boned repeatedly if you're a fan of non-Mario Nintendo franchises, is this NX thing... Less than a year away. No idea what it is, just rumors. But. One thing you can guarantee yourself: It will not have boobies on it.

And then you have to wonder why they're getting killed six ways to Sunday by soulless generic computer boxes in that market.

Nintendo also announced that the new Zelda will be the only playable game at their E3 booth and that the NX won't be at E3. Really, Nintendo? Looks like another crappy E3 with barely any announcements.

I like Nintendo's games, but NOA's inconsistent censorship is annoying. Fire Emblem Fates blocked out some swimsuits, but kept other outfits just as revealing intact.

For those who needed some official confirmation that the Wii U is getting Zelda NX (lol) at the same time : https://twitter.com/NintendoAmerica/sta ... 8984083456

I never liked any of the 3D Zelda games and if the Wii U version is full price, I probably won't bother getting it.

Starfox Zero should've been half price like that Kirby Rainbow Curse game.

Nintendo is still losing money in any case.

Nintendo needs to stop trying to innovate for the sake of innovation and just get a meaty console out there. People will lap up Nintendo games but you need a machine that can handle multiplatform games. The smartphone hybrid rumours could win back the casual market but I can't see it being a success unless it also offers a traditional gaming platform that technically competes with xbox and PlayStation.

The problem is, it's given the WiiU its last round of meds before they turn the life support machine off. With no games to come you won't get new customers for a full year but no-one's really hyped because you've still not shown us any NX details!

With the competition expected to launch upgraded consoles in a 0.5 generation leap, NX is well placed to grab the existing customer base who don't want to reinvest in a revision model - but only if it's got enough power behind it to go multiplatform. Otherwise it'll be another WiiU - technically behind and kept afloat only by traditional Nintendo properties.

I'm going to quadruple facepalm if they're still sticking with PowerPC. That shit hasn't been updated since 2014, and I doubt they can get the not-even-released-yet 2017 model in there.

I beat it on release co-op with one of my buddies and had a bunch of fun with it. though, this is coming from someone who used to play DW on PS2 with the exact same person all the time.... and we're both bigger nintendo fans than dw fans so it was a treat.

masochistic in the sense that it's super repetitive and basically a stamina run... the game is really fun when you get to the bosses. haven't touched the DLC. if you're not a DW fan I can't imagine you'd enjoy hyrule warriors, and it's probably not as enjoyable solo as it is co-op.

At least they included Guard with it. I'll probably wait on it due to the mixed reviews, though.

I really think that Nintendo should drop the price of the Wii U. With the Zelda game having been pushed back to next year, what are they going to have for the holiday shopping season? They now claim that they're going to keep manufacturing Wii Us into 2018, but I sincerely doubt that. Look at how fast they dropped support for the GameCube once the Wii was out.

They refuse to sell consoles at a loss. The $100 controller kinda makes it impossible.

Hopefully they're able to put two and two together and accept they need to make a budget console for children with the NX. If they're so obsessed with erasing boobies from existence. Goddamn.

The funniest and very possible possibility: Imagine if the NX were the same price or lower than the U at launch. Think about it.

Except Xenoblade X still has most of the revealing outfits intact and FE Fates still has Camilla and underwear (more revealing than the blocked out swimsuits) intact. I don't think Nintendo knows what it's doing with their localizations.

It's really good, and if you're looking to unlock stuff and make badges for all characters, really really grindy. It's my first Warriors as well and I've put over 80 hours into it just this month, after getting back into it at the end of March.

Also, if anyone's missed it, make sure to pick up the Nintendo Humble Bundle (which gets even more games on Tuesday!)

I got it some weeks ago, enjoying it. I'm actually starting Ganondorf's missions, great stuff.

Dorf is one of the best characters. His C6 can quite literally take a keep in one attack. Make sure you get the DLC too if you haven't already, it's super worth it.

I recently finished Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker. It is a well-made puzzler. In recent years, Nintendo has made it a habit to present players with an ending screen after only a fraction of the content, probably to cater to the ego of the contemporary gamer. In Captain Toad they turn this up to 11, and show you the first ending/staff roll after about 28% of the content of the main story mode. I 100%'ed the entire story mode, and the bonus levels up to, but not including, the "Mummy-Me Maze" (not a big fan of randomness).

I also shelved Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze after 100%'ing it. I was very close to getting all puzzle pieces, which unlock some bonus dioramas, but that just became a tad too tedious, due to my dislike for the rocket barrel levels. "Blurry Flurry" quickly started feeling like work, which is not an emotion I want to experience when playing a video game.

Right now I am working on Super Mario 3D World. I unlocked the crown world the other day, after collecting all stamps, getting all golden flag poles, and gathering all green stars in the preceding 11 boards. It's still very fun. Before tackling Champion Road, I want to play through all levels with all characters. That's partly my OCD talking, but I find this game still very enjoyable.
