PMS Crystalio II impressions? 480p scalers?

I am looking for a scaler for my 480p sources: GameCube, PS2, Wii, etc. I would like to find a scaler that does for 480p sources what the Framemeister does for 240p sources. Fudoh lists the PMS Crystalio II as the best 480p upscaler, but I cannot seem to find his review of the unit, if it even exists.

Does anyone have impressions of it? Or another dedidcated 480p upscalers?

I am not sure how I could have missed that! Alas, it's pointless as the unit is almost impossible to obtain.

Is anyone currently using an upscaler for their 480p stuff?

It REALLY depends on your TV's scaling capabilities. Some TVs have excellent scaling (e.g. Sony's set for several years now), so you certainly don't need an external processor.

Good (and rather affordable) upscalers for 480p include some of the Gefen units and I have a bunch of Atlona scalers lined up for testing right now.

it's a bit more complicated than that. The only two other available processors with the same chip are the Optoma HD3000 (which has quite a few bugs) and the Lumagen Radiance (which has internal 4:2:2 processing compared to the 4:4:4 on the Crystalio II, which causes considerably worse quality than the CII).
