The Conservapedia entry on Poe's Law.

Because you can't be sure!

Not since the announcement of a Matrix MMO has irony coalesced into such absolute perfection.
Two working class dudes, one black one white, just baked a tray of ten cookies together.

An oligarch walks in and grabs nine cookies for himself.

Then he says to the white dude "Watch out for that black dude, he wants a piece of your cookie!"

According to the Colecovision FB account, Chameleon turned tail and ran - they decided they didn't have something to show an independent engineer.

Thus ends the latest incarnation of this...whatever it is. (I have to still think of it as the "Retro VGS.")

You know, I never got too closely into the stories about the Game Gavel guy, but if he's deep in this, it might be suggestive of a typical mode of operation.

Last time watching The Blues Brothers, I kept wondering where else did I see the actress playing mysterious vengeful lady's role... It took the staff roll to make me realise it was Carrie Fisher.

You're going to keep them from seeing the prequels until they come of age, right?

That's the plan. We'll see how it goes, they did like Episode IV a lot, but Empire really got them hooked now. The prequels are such a weird mix of silliness and boring politics, so my guess is they'd only think they suck anyway. A friend on mine showed his kid episode I and she didn't even manage to sit through all of it. I've told my kids they exist but that they're really boring, so hopefully, they won't nag about seeing them.

Brilliant. This post made me smile!

There was a collection of clips of kids on YouTube reacting to that particular reveal, it was really heart warming, and a nice bit of corroborating evidence that love for the classics isn't rose-tinted as the kids like to argue, but because stuff was genuinely superior.

Cut two toxic people out of my life last week. In a last ditch effort from one of them, they tried saying something stupid about a plan to make the gal involved in the mess went just as it should. Only the dumbass should have known that long before the mess we started becoming good friends. Made me smile to see how stupid that person was and how great of a best friend I have now!

haha, this is great stuff

Also, shout out to this month's Discover magazine on Einstein. Nice tie-in between Galileo's (the original Cap'n Disillusion) ship thought experiment and Einstein. If you never got all that "why do things shrink and warp near the speed of light" stuff, this will make it understandable!

That wasn't a necrobump ag1999 you god damn noob salad! (・`ω´・) It was vital intel for the shumpsfarm hivemind and undoubtedly saved thousands of lurkers from dropping big bucks on the explosive rectal prolapse that was the Retro VGS!

Also your topics are hilarious and I wish they didn't get locked so frequently; I maintain "WTT teen boy butt 4 RGB Famicom" is a tragic presaging of our hobby's future as hardware supplies dwindle and noob intake rises. I know which end of the trade I'll be on though... winky wink wink. Image
