I think of WW1 as the grave of aviation's chastity (although I know airplanes got used at a colonial war by Italy prior to that conflict).
Which is of meagre relevance to the topic at hand - anyway, I don't like the style of screenshots (most contemporary shmups look no-hum on screenshots, though) and I would expect a shmup using real world conflict as the starting point to carry somewhat mournful mood, which I'm not getting impression of from the screenshots and description. Projecting too much, perhaps.

I would consider the tone of Gun Frontier by Taito more becoming here (or that of Task Force Harrier).

It's just that for a brief moment in certain generation's lives, airplanes and blimps were like love & peace in the nineteen-sixties, or like computers for my generation - and Great War had buried it all.

Having watched the trailers, I must admit their bilingual (it's the same dude, isn't he?) voice acting is rad. One thing your game does better than Gun Frontier for sure.

@Obiwanshinobi: Maybe you had different expectations from a WW1 shooter, but I am honestly not a fan of too dark and too brownish colors. This is why
I combined this grim setting with an colorful alien invasion. In addition I would be very limited with my art design in a "historical" WW1 setting.
Bosses would be just (huge and unrealistic!) tanks and airplanes. You see this in every other shooter. My games have a different approach to this.
I want memorable bossfights.

@Necronom: Thanks a lot. Good to know that there are shoot 'em up lovers in the neighborhood :)

Seems you got a mention on Siliconera.

I actually bought the game on itch a few days ago; I like the look, but play-wise it feels a bit rough around the edges to me.
