thanks! never really spent serious time with batsugun though I always loved it. that was my one and only credit of the night so hopefully I'll be able to improve on it if it wasn't a fluke!

some of those stage 5 scores are blowing my mind btw..

^Batsugun Special is a really nice pick-up-n-play shmup with a CAVE-like hitbox...
You need to learn the stage 4 Boss scoring trick (and hovering over the pink pigs plus the stage 5 platform)

Randorama's ST is quite helpful thoough a bit hard to parse. The input macros he lists, though, are a bit inaccurate - they'll work, but in some cases it says that you need to hold two buttons when you actually only need to hold one of them. For the stage 2 one, you just need to hold right, for stage 3, you need to hold down, for the first one on stage 5, you just need to hold left, and for the row of circular tanks on stage 5 you need to be sitting still. Take a look at Jaimers' counterstop too if you want strategies (it should be the first result on YouTube if you search for Batsugun).

Might as well throw my score up here too while I'm here. Apparently mine is the only score here game-overing on stage 13 (4-4):

After almost 10 years, I'm trying to get back into this game again...

Died at Ground of the Galaxy in loop 2 because I got too excited. Jupiter in loop 1 was dumb, I died 2 times for no reason and hardly milked it (8m after stage 1-4). 2-4 was great though, milked it but did not dare to suicide even though I could have.

In the future I'll make it a practice to suicide 1x at Jupiter in loops 1+2 and see how my score develops. I got the platform score trick in both loops and bombed the small ships in stage 5 in both loops with 5 bombs.
