Tomak: Save the Earth Again

Post by BulletMagnet »

I was wondering if anyone else had played this wonky shmup...I recently stumbled upon it by accident, tracked down a demo, and have been tinkering with it...while I'm not particularly thrilled with the dull bullets and large hitbox, I don't want to write it off yet, since I haven't figured out the way everything works. I know that there are 3 different "forms" you can transform into, which each affect the "charge meter" differently, though I'm not sure exactly what each one does, nor how the scoring system works. Anyone else played this, or heard anything about it to that effect?

Here's the makers' official site, apparently it's based on some oddball simulation game that the company made prior to it:

And here's a review of the PC-CD release of it, I think that it and the PC are the only systems it was released on.

Any insights are appreciated. :)

I have a sealed GP32 copy for sale in my (soon to be revived) sales tread.

I bought it for the GP32 I was to get back then, but I later backed out of getting the GP... :?

So sorry I can't tell anything more about it.
Just shameless plugging I tell ya. :P
