The BVM-2010P I use for all my consoles and my MVS gave up the ghost this morning. I was trying to run a cartridge based program called 'Flux' off of an Everdrive MD with my Megadrive and Mega CD but every time I would run it the picture would go really dark (the program/sound was running fine besides that) until I brought something else up on the screen (in this case the Everdrive menu). I forgot to turn the monitor off as I was googling the problem (although the megadrive was off) and the bvm went crazy popping and snapping with sorta whitenoise on the screen until I quickly turned it off. There was a acrid smell as well. Now whenever I turn it on it makes a low buzzing, sizzling noise and makes the smell again. It doesn't degauss or make a booting sound at all.
Is there any way back from this? Does this sound like a particular problem? I have taken off the panels and have checked the psu fuse at the back (fine), is there anything else I can try? It seems such a waste to have to throw it out.
My usual setup:
BVM - rca cables to scart splitter - scart passthrough adapter - scart cable - powered joytech scart splitter - scart cables for consoles - consoles
(L+R audio RCAs to speaker setup from passthrough)

Any help would be appreciated.
