Consolized Sega Naomi System with Compact Flash Adapter

No, the compact flash adapter was a Sega replacement for the GD-Rom drive. It was found out to be a compact flash IDE adapter wired to a SCSI connector to use with Sega specific compact flash cards. Then it was hacked to allow the use of just about any compact flash card.

Could it possibly work with other GD-ROM-using systems (Triforce, Chihiro)? I saw a modded Dreamcast on sale reading SD cards, but thought this kind of memory is too slow to keep up with even pretty old optical drives.

Yes it works with those systems as well, but the raspberry pi is better solution along with a netdimm.
