If you want it fast, get it from ncsx.com. Ordering from yesasia.com right now will result in a 1 week shipping delay (preorders made within 3 weeks from the release date ship 1 week after the release date, usually). Play-Asia.com can take weeks to arrive and they often lie about when they actually ship the game out to you. Go the ncsx.com route and you'll get it in a few days from the release date. Just request USPS priority mail in the shipping box (it's $5).

What this guy said. Play-asia just seem to get a bad rep sometimes from people who paid for economy shipping. It's called economy for a reason!

Yeah, but if the guy is in the USA (I'm not sure), he's still better off going with ncsx.com because he can get it in the same amount of time (2-3 days) for much cheaper (just $5 for priority shipping, opposed to PA's EMS costs).

Oh and economy shouldn't take 1-2 months to arrive. I order economy from yesasia.com (which is FREE mind you, unlike PA which charges you $3-$4) and it's here in 5-7 days from when they ship it. ALWAYS. I've ordered a lot from PA too, and they are far more inconsistent (some things come in 1 week, others come in 1 month, etc).

Yup - not disputing that. NCSX get things in stock as quick as PA too don't they?

Dude - it's economy shipping. It's a lottery. I believe the maximum /advised/ delivery time is 5 weeks. Check the sending date on the parcels. I had something shipped from the US to the UK recently, standard airmail, which took the full 6 weeks that service quotes. Usually it takes about 6 days. Hey that's life, if I wanted it within 6 days, I should have paid for priority.

If you go to the main site (www.ncsx.com), click on Shop, then select PS2 Preorder Software. This will bring up a link to their older website (which they still use for pre-ordering). Click the link and then once again select PS2 Pre-Order. Then just go through the list until you find Ibara.

HK to Hawaii for some reason is shipped via Antarctica or something. It sucks. Takes two weeks minimum for anything to get here from Play Asia.

I went ahead and ordered the game and soundtrack from play-asia. Kicked in for the EMS Speedpost, because Mushi took forever to get here with the economy shipping. The few dollars extra will be worth it, I believe.

Where are the UK shooter fans buying from?
I'll never forget the endless wait for my copy of Mushihime from play-asia!
Is yes-asia the answer? Or will I miss out on vital bonus items through them.
Opinions please?

i'll be going the ncsx route again. good postage rates too for lightning-speed arrivals.

play-asia were great to me for ages then they got weird about doing markdowns, and i can't afford to buy if i don't get the markdowns. never had problems with the economy shipping arriving ok and within the 2 weeks time allowed.

Few extra dollars? Isn't airmail about $3 for one cd and EMS $12 for one cd?

One of the other Ibara threads has details on a free 16 page strat guide (by the makers of Arcadia), which will be available. Anyone seen this/know of an importer who's guaranteeing it being bundled with the game?

Play-asia have lied to me about when they shipped items to me with my last 5 orders. Each time the postmark date on the package was several days after the date on which I recieved shipping confirmation.

The longest I've waited with Yesasia's free shipping to the UK is 6 working days. This coupled with the fact that they are customs friendly and generally cheaper than PA means that I won't be using PA again unless it's for something at a very cheap price or something I can't get at YA.

I was mad for PA about their shipping date. But after dealing with PA several times, I found that they seems to ship only once every week. All of their shippment to me arrived on Sat ?!?!, no matter what day I placed my order...

I think they issue the shipping notice once their account dept confirmed the payment. But packing and shipping of the goods is done always on Friday...

I only bought from YesAsia once or twice. Since PA don't change me any postage, purching from YesAsia is actually cost me more than PA, so I stuck to PA most of the time.

There's a couple of us that have been asking this same question but nobody seems to know (or they're hogging them all for themselves  ).

I was going to pre-order Ibara for this artbook/guide but it looks like I'll have to miss out on it or acquire it second hand as I'm leaving for bootcamp on Wednesday and I hear there's not much time set aside to play shmups there. :( :D

IIRC YesAsia have been caught separating some pre-order bonuses before, and selling them off individually on their website. So folks hoping for the artbook/guide might stand a better chance ordering from Play-Asia (I've always used PA without problems anyway).

For example Play-Asia shipped the Trizeal bandana + audio cd bonuses to everyone who pre-ordered even though they didn't mention them on their website initially. I'm hoping this will be the case with the Ibara bonus, I don't know if anyone's actually asked PA about it?

Yeah, that's pretty much what I figured as well. Don't know if it's only once a week but it might be. I imagine they send you the shipping notice when your package is ready and goes into The Basket. The Basket is then emptied once or twice a week at the PO. Their version of economy handling, and I can't really blame them for 3 or 4 bucks. No disappointments really, they are very consistent.

YesAsia are good in the US and the UK, I can personally assure wou however that their shipping is a nightmare here in Switzerland. About 1 out of 4 packages gets here on first try. Everything else gets lost/is returned from package nirvana. I preordered Homura (released Dec 1st) and only got it a few days ago in a reshipment that itself took 30 days to get here. Try 'em and see if your region is affected by their package routing problems.

Cool, I preordered with YesAsia a few weeks ago so fingers crossed.

On the subject of delivery times, I've ordered from PlayAsia, YesAsia, Liksang and NCSX all in the past and never had troubles with any of them. Stuff has typically turned up a week after release.

And that's with cheapo postage costs!

Not cool. He's saying that YesAsia divides the bonus content from the game so that you have to order and pay for the material separate. :?

I e-mailed NCSX about it and I doubt they even knew what I was talking about. They just said they usually receive PO bonuses that come with games but had know way of knowing ahead of time and couldn't guarantee it.

The past four purchases I've made at ncsx got to me in two days and cost less than $5 shipping, and I'm on the other side of the continental US. Can't beat that.
