The criticism of McCain for being captured and surviving years of imprisonment and torture while he has a collection of draft deferments. So what's the solution? Change the rules so that people who want to make money don't have to do it at the expense of the American people. Who can do it? It's a question I ask myself every day*. Two weeks till the primary! I should check the IL polls... Hoping for a Sanders upset, but I've written so many times about how absolutely corrupt the Illinois democrats are, and how interlinked they are to Obama (and probably Hillary) - certainly not going to be easy. However, we are living in the aftermath of our mayor hiding our own local "cop illegally shoots black teenage criminal" video (releasing it he crushed his opponent in the election) so everyone's angry.

It's not promising. If accurate, he hasn't moved a single goddamn inch in Illinois in the entire past year.

And he needs to roughly tie across Illinois, New York and Michigan with a win in California to offset how the confederacy has nearly completely rejected him. (And, ironically, it's the black half of the confederacy who'd be voting republican probably if identity politics weren't such a huge factor in US politics.)

When this is done, it's very possible he only wins rural white states that still vaguely remember socialism and labour unions.

Is Sanders even observant? If not i don't see on what grounds he could make his ethnicity relevant. Unless you think his Jewishness should give him PC brownie points.

Ben Shapiro on the other hand is really outspoken about his Jewishness (he is an orthodox Jew so there's no way he can keep quiet about it when he has to wear that cap of his everywhere he goes) and he seems to be doing relatively fine, but that's probably because the left is now a lot more critical of Jews than the right is. Jews are pretty low on the progressive stack nowadays, mostly because of the Israel/Palestine issue but also because Jews are now seen as white.
