CRT Help - Sony PVM-14M4A - Red flashing screen

Just wondering is someone could give me some information regarding a Sony PVM monitor I bought is a group lot.

The power light and front panel buttons appear to light up and the tube sounds like it warms up but there is no display. If you switch it off and on quickly it will come up with a red flickering screen. Some of the image manipulation buttons work (underscan and wide screen) but otherwise the red flickering image does not change.

It is worth salvaging or is it beyond repair?

Monitor is otherwise in great condition so would like to save it if I could.
