Capcom TV Games joystick with GameKey

Post by doctorx0079 »

Has anybody seen this yet? It is supposedly coming soon but no one knows when. I think being able to instantly boot GnG and 1942 on any TV anywhere will be awesome.

I own the Street Fighter one. Sadly, although it supposed to be a Genesis inside, it isn't in stereo. So silly. :(

No Gamekey support, tho

I have the first Sonic one and it's not in stereo either. And Sonic's jump sounds are missing too. That's just down right ignorant.

The original Namco Pac-Man one rules.

The Ms. Pac-Man one is pretty good, better than a lot of folks say it is.

The sound emulation on these things is a travesty.

If those SNK ones do actually come out in fall 2006 like they were saying I hope the sound is tampered with, that was one of the best and most groundbreaking aspects of their pre Neo Geo games even if some of them didn't age well overall.

I like the Ms. Pac-Man one and what I tried of the Pac-Man one, but I think it's lame how Bosconian doesn't have 8 way control like the original for the Pac-Man joystick.

The new wireless Ms. Pac-Man stick has Bosco with 8-way control! But I don't want to shell out more $$ for games I already have. Not a big Bosco fan anyway.

The SNK one will be worthless if they don't include the rotational joystick -- here's hoping.

I've seen a new Ms. Pac-Man with GameKey, as well as Dora The Explorer and Spongebob with GameKey. And I think some Disney Princess thing. But no Capcom.

I was out looking for it the other day, and I didn't see anything in town. I checked Wal-mart, Toys-r-us, and Best Buy.

Aren't the Bandai game controllers supposed to come out this month, BTW?

Didn't know about the either the SNK or the Capcom stick? Which games are on each?

Mate, how do you think these things work? Some guy comes up with an idea, and the prize goes to the lowest bidder who can make it happen for the least amount of money.

No surprises there. The almighty dollar rules this universe, with consumer happiness barely making the list of things to care about.

I don't know if it was the gamekey one, but I saw a stick with 1942 and Commando just before christmas.
I actually held it in my hand as I was walking around at a toy-store in Stockholm, looking at other stuff to get. Then I came about the Sega II (with Sonic 2) from Radica and bought that instead.

I regret it a bit, but I'll be going back there next weekend and pick it up if they still have it available.

Is this the one?
http://www.futureshop.ca/catalog/prodde ... atid=22094

Just had the first play with that, although bought at a local toy store.
Really crappy stick, works kind of ok to play with, but I can feel that it's just minutes away from coming apart.
Out of the box there were a razzle inside it... :(

Commando, 1942 and GnG.
They didn't have any gamekeys at the store I bought it in, but the stick is gamekey ready.

I can't find those Bandai plug-and-play controllers anywhere on NCSX's site. :?

That's probably it. I wonder when it will come to the States? BTW Gamekey is a thing you plug into it to add a new game. It's kinda like a cartridge.

I bet if you keep playing it you'll find the stick holds up pretty well. The Pac-Man and Ms. Pac-Man ones are decent.

A little cartridge that has extra games on it. I think that they're about the size of a PS2 memory card.

I saw the new Super Pac-Man joystick at Target today. Looks like this is the way they want to go with it. More really old games and GameKey is gone. So we probably won't be seeing Capcom because the games are too new. The Super Pac-Man stick has Pac-Man, Super Pac-Man, Pac-Man Plus and Pac & Pal. It's okay, I have a PS2 now so I can play CCC.

Hopefully the SNK one will have Ikari Warriors and a rotary control if it comes out.

Victory Road needs the rotary stick to be played the way I like to do it: the Maniacal Windshield Wiper of Doom. Get the red bullets, the red grenades, and the sword. Cranking the knob rapidly to move the sword back and forth while spamming the red grenades = instant killing machine. If something gets too close, it'll likely taste the blade. And sometimes it can be fun to play Bullet Baseball and send the enemies' fire right back at them.
Kinect? KIN NOT.
