Extron Super Emotia with BVM-D24E1WU - worth it?

Post by zoopster »

So someone has offered an Extron Super Emotia with a power supply and a couple of cables. Is it worth 100 Euros to convert 480p to 240p on a BVM monitor that supports 480p and higher? The seller seems to think so as they used it for a Dreamcast... but they are the seller :)

Thanks,
John

100 EUR for a SE is a good price anyway. If it's worth it to you depends on your gaming library and your sources.

So what sources would it make sense for? I'm at the beginning of a journey.

for games that have originally been running in 240p, but the console is just able to output 480p. XBox 360 for example.
To use it with 480i systems like PS2 you need a linedoubler before the SE. The DC can natively output 240p, but a few titles that should run at this res run at 480i and 480p instead.
