BVM ps1 sync problem

Post by St4rwalker »

Hi being a noob and all i just got the scart/bnc cables for my ps1. i ger weired colors and fluiding and such,
guess its the sync problem? the bnc cable come with stereo, and 4 color cables (red, green, blue, yellow)

i was connecting the rgb ones, and then the yellow to SYNC IN, ext sync switched on/off doesnt help..

The input must be configured to component, not RGB.

Also Scart cables are not bi-directional, so you might wanna check if the sync wire is soldered to the right pin (pin 20 on female scart plugs, pin 19 on male plugs).

hard to diagnose without seeing it. You can swap around the BNC plugs on the input to see if the oversaturation moves with the change or stays with the same color. If it moves, it's the cable. If it stays, it's the monitor or the monitor settings.

Yes, all settings are remembered.

The 1084 was my first RGB monitor. Good times back then.
