Dragon Blaze No Dragonshot

Welcome to what is probably the most annoying idea in limitation challenges: playing without the gimmick when the gimmick is amazing. Essentially, this makes the game more like Sengoku Ace and Gunbird, which I like.

So... no Dragonshot; that also means no gold coins or Coinheads, no unmounted charge shots, and no Technical Bonuses. If you want, you can disable the normal button 3 and make an autofire button instead. Charge shot and bombs are obviously fine.

Defaults, of course. Not much else to say, fortunately.

I'm really bad at Dragon Blaze. Tried my luck in Shmupmame…

My Quaid score was terrible. Sonia is the only person this challenge is remotely possible as - it's actually not that hard with her if you stay fully powered-up because her shot is actually more powerful than some characters' charge attacks. I think the 1-7 first midboss will be very very difficult without dragonshots, though, even with Sonia's godly abilities.
