BVM Cables

Post by St4rwalker »

Hi quick question!

Sony BVM-20F1E, i want to connect Sega Saturn, PAL..

Sega Saturn RGB audio video AV SCART / JP21 Cable TV lead cord PAL with RCA sound
- Output: EuroSCART
- Sync : CSYNC (built in)

Female RGBS SCART / JP21 to BNC adapter breakout cable for Sony PVM and BVM monitors
- Input type: EuroSCART

Is this order fine??

Thanks

BTW, i bought a saturn cable from thefoo83 over ebay, it is faulty and poorly made, i only have sound on one speaker and if the cable isnt fit correct, i often get purple picture.. just saying..

You don't need RCA breakouts on your RGB cable when your Scart to BNC adapter has them already.
You don't need the built-in sync stripper in the Saturn cable.

Both don't hurt either though.

Check if any of the pins are completely or partly pushed in and/or misaligned. I was getting only one audio channel from a scart, in addition to it making an unreliable connection video-wise. Turns out that one of the pins for audio was out of whack and was causing both issues.

No pins are misaligned, the cable isnt full with pins, only partly.. the whole scart cable ie. the scart connecter feels extremely cheap, ultra lightweight..

Hello
firstly I am always testing cables personaly so I am sure that cables are working correctly. About not all pins - Please note that not all pins are used for RGB and stereo sound. It does not matter do you have got all or not all pins inside SCART plug because it is importand to how many pins wires are connected. So if you have got cable for other console with all pins just open the euro/scart plug and you will see that not to all pins wires are connected. My cable is high quality because it has got very good shielding and wires inside cable are copper not steel or aluminum like in other cables which you can get.
Cable do not to be heavy to be HQ. If cable is heavy it is rather poor quality - a lot of rubber nothing more.
you can aslo check quality of my cable here:

Now for PAL consoles I am making sync on LUMA version.
You never wrote to me about any problem with the cable so it is not fair what you wrote at this forum.
