I'm stumped by what's going on with my stream setup.
I have a Micomsoft X-Capture 1 and normally capture my PS2 with component (Red, Green, Blue) cables. I use AmaRecTV 3.10 to deinterlace the footage and pass it along to OBS (Open Broadcast Software) for my stream. I choose the options, "for Action Game," and, "Top field first," for that progressive 60fps movement.
This is what this normally looks like:

Excuse the bad compression, OBS's built in recording isn't the best but that wasn't the goal of this example anyway. The important part is that you can see the proper 60fps.
So I wanted to try out the RGB inputs on my X-Capture 1, so I ordered a PS1/PS2 RGB cable with a built in sync stripper for CSYNC from Retrogamingcables.co.uk.
Link for this here:

The cable arrived and it looks great on my Sony PVM 14-L5.
So I wanted to capture the RGB footage my PS2 was sending out now, which is where my problem begins.
I'm using a distribution amplifier to split the signal from the console to go to my PVM and to my Sync Strike which goes to my capture device. The feed captures normally, there's no issue there. I've been successful in capturing a nice 240p60 RGB signal from other consoles. The issue lies in 480i video. I can capture it just fine, but no matter which live deinterlacing method I use it doesn't seem to work properly. Using the same exact live deinterlacing settings on AmaRecTV for when I'm using component cables, I get a very different stuttering effect. Media players and YouTube are picking it up as 60fps however.
Here's a link to what I see when I'm deinterlacing RGB:

I've tried changing from top field to bottom field first and it didn't seem to make a difference. I've also tried using OBS's built in Yadif2x deinterlacer which works great for component but with no results with the RGB input. I also captured the RGB video without deinterlacing it using AmaRecTV then deinterlaced it in post using Virtualdub (I used Yadif2x here too) and the footage finally looked correct, but only in post.
I'm really baffled as to why the same deinterlacer worked in post, but it's not working live. The whole point is that I can stream my RGB video live, so I need a solution for making this happen. I'm fairly positive that there aren't any issues with my hardware setup as I'm already capturing the video properly. Does anybody have any advice as to what's going on here and how I can fix it?
Need advice on proper live deinterlacing of 480i60 RGB video
