Hi, longtime lurker here. I finally got a PVM, and I'm mostly loving it but I'm having some minor problems.
1. I was able to get into the secret menu and adjust the geometry a bit, but the picture is still rotated a degree or two to the left, so the left side of the bottom edge and top of the left edge are cut off a bit. Is there a way to rotate it back? Couldn't find a way to do so in the menu.
2. 720p and 1080i signals will only display letterboxed and the "16:9" button doesn't do anything when the PVM is being fed these signals. Is there a way to force these signals into fullscreen, or am I stuck with them being letterboxed? Not a big deal since I won't be using them much if at all, but it'd be nice to have the option.
3. I thought I read somewhere on these forums that this PVM accepts RGBHV if the H and V signals are combined with a BNC T-adapter then connected to the Ext Sync input. I tried this with several different resolutions (including 480i), but couldn't get a stable picture. RGB was definitely selected in the menu and the Ext Sync button was definitely pressed. Is there something I can adjust, or does it not in fact accept RGBHV as-is? Not a big deal if it can't, just curious. Component seems to work fine, so if I need to connect a PC I guess I can use DVI converted to analog component by my HDMI Fury, and I have a PC CRT monitor for DC games.
4. Can anyone recommend a good (and hopefully cheap) HDMI to SDI/HD-SDI converter? Curious to see how those signals look.
Thanks in advance.

Re: PVM 20L5 questions
720p and 1080i are 16:9 formats. They are supposed to be letterboxed on a 4:3 screen.
You can get an Extron sync converter on eBay for something like $20.
Monoprice has HDMI to HD-SDI converters for $85, but they don't do SD resolutions (480i).

Re: PVM 20L5 questions
Thanks for the response.
I know, but I have a video processor (VP50Pro) that will let me remove the black bars on the sides of 4:3 Blu-rays by stretching them to full HD, so I wanted to see how those looked.Guspaz wrote:720p and 1080i are 16:9 formats. They are supposed to be letterboxed on a 4:3 screen.
