the character you chose would travel around the world (form level to level). but the game was rather serious in its presentation (i.e. not sonic wings like in any way).
another thing i remember the game had some kind of "story" element, as i remember being bored with all the talking.
don't know why but i've never been obsessed with playing the "best" of something. the game is obviously a rip-off, but its still entertaining.
