The thing that bugs me about the whole case is the utter blind eye turned to the petty and spiteful act that started the whole thing - actively trying to affect someones work life. The punching Sarkeesian game is vulgar and stupid, but trying to cost someone their job is shitty. It's what a shitlord does.

From what I grasp of the case, it seems like he came to the defense of the guy who made the Sarkeesian game. It was just a kid, anyway.
Also, he did have a restraining order, but they started to spread rumors that he was a pedophile, a batch of months after it first started.

He got on the net, to defend himself, and that's when he got in trouble.

Unless I am missing something, I can't understand why people want this guy in jail. I cannot find anything that I would consider "harassment", at all. I'm at a loss, as to what reality these folks are living in, where this guy is some kind of villain.

As a fan of the series, who's ultra super mega hyped to get killed 10,000+ times in the Nohr route of FE Fates, I've been following this closely.

From what I've gathered, they gave those characters dialogue like that, because they talked in very similar ways in the JP version. IE whatshername had the Japanese equivalent of that kind of valley-girl dialect and mannerisms in the JP script. It was simply the closest cultural analogue. Is Tumblr really the only (or first) place to talk like that? Seems like that one's age old, at any rate.

Fates removing the ability to feel up your waifus with the stylus (note that you can still do it and the scenes are still in there, it's just not done with the touch pad or anything) was very likely not censorship, but a business move. Nintendo (probably rightly) realized that that shit was just cringe inducing for 90% of everyone in the West, and deduced it would sell more otherwise. Likely had nothing to do with the whole feminism/tumblr shit storm.

In fact there are gameplay reasons for the change as well. JP Players were not happy that you had to spend so much time rubbing people with a stylus in order to increase your support levels (attribute that determines how strong two units become when fighting side by side), and it was widely considered to be tedious IIRC. The change may have been a result of player feedback as much as the audience they were targeting.

At any rate, this doesn't seem very gamergate/feminism related in general. Although I do empathize with you guys on some subjects, desperately trying to draw anything into the issue when it's barely related (like this), is a bit annoying.

As for the censorship thing, see above. Honestly, nothing was censored. The Western version is probably the definitive version if anything, since you still get the sexy waifu scenes but no longer have to waste hours twiddling on the touch pad in order to see them or level up your supports.
