Anyone got experience trying to put a JAMMA board in a NeoGeo cab? I am wanting to put an STV board in my mvs-2-25 cab. The main thing I know is different is the audio is stereo for NeoGeo but mono on JAMMA. Will I fry my stv board if I just put it in the cab? Can someone point me in the right direction?
Edit:
I realize that what I am really trying to figure out is the proper way to get the audio from MVS cab to properly connect to a JAMMA board. MVS has a speakerL+ and speakerR+ while JAMMA has speaker+ and speaker-. If I try to convert the harness do I wire the LEFT and RIGHT speaker from MVS to single speaker+ on JAMMA board, and put a ground on JAMMA board's speaker- ?

Re: STV board in Neo Geo cab
I can't seem to ask the right questions anywhere, and only solution I can seem to find is to convert the whole cabinet to mono. I do not intend to change the cabinet to mono.
I did install the board with no sound which was cool. Thought I'd bump with a picture. I got the pause button to work too which was pretty cool to see imo.

PS: I never did find exact info as to how the USA bios gimped Radiant Silvergun, so if you're curious it is 2 buttons. You have the vulcan and the spread shot. The spread shot features a third projectile that shoots direclty behind you(this was the detail I didn't seem to find anywhere). Pushing the two together give you the radiant sword.

I cant remember where i saw it, but im pretty sure that someone makes an add on board for this purpouse that plugs between the neo geo wiring and the jamma board.
although, It might be for going from jamma cabinet to neo geo instead.

I contacted jamma nation x, and actually have an adapter being made along with mod bios for stv. It'll be some weeks before it gets shipped out, but I think I will eventually have it working as I desire.mvsfan wrote:I cant remember where i saw it, but im pretty sure that someone makes an add on board for this purpouse that plugs between the neo geo wiring and the jamma board.

There used to be something that looked to be exactly what I needed through jammaboard.com, but that store is gone. Sad story
Seems I will eventually get to play STV games with all sound and such, but I just didn't learn how to do it myself.

Re: STV board in Neo Geo cab
you can also rewire the jamma + connector for mono sound but you wouldnt be able to use it for a neo geo board anymore unless you changed it back.
unless you use a switch to switch between the two.
the neo geo cabinet has 2 speakers in it.
one speaker goes to left on the connector one goes to right.
you would just combine the 2 positive speaker wires in parallel and hook it to jamma + audio out.
