What is this on my BVM? How do I remove it?

Post by atheistgod1999 »

I thought it was a scratch or something, but on closer inspection it doesn't seem like it. I tried removing it with rubbing alcohol but it didn't work. Also, I used to occasionally see it a while ago but lately I've been noticing it constantly. Here's a couple pics:

Looks like a scratch on the glass. Unfortunately theres really no good way to remove it if that is what it is.

I have a scratch on one of PVM's, it's about that size, and and I really never notice it.

But if you really want to do something about it, I have heard that rubbing vaseline into a scratch can fill it and allow light to pass through normally.

You can always remove the plastic film on the CRT face however depending on the model of the BVM and the year it was manufactured this could prove to be a poor decision.
I am no longer taking free or paid modding projects, please do not contact me asking for my services. Thanks :).

It's a 20F1U. I already know that it's extremely hard to remove and that I'll probably scratch the glass cleaning off the adhesive because I read a post of yours on another forum while googling the issue.
