I just bought a master system 2 and I am having a hard time finding someone current who does master system 2 RGB MODS.
Can anyone recommend a talented one or a least a guide so I can get started on this thing?
Thanks

Re: RGB Mod for Master System 2
since your looking for someone to do it,
youd probably be better off getting a power base converter if you have a genesis already. they make cheap ones now. The genesis outputs rgb out of the box and it can play master system games.
genesis is also cheap to buy. i think its the least expensive 16 bit console.

A bit of googling around got me the info I needed to do the mod myself. I don't remember where any of it was, but if I could find it easily then so can you.

Ya I would have done that but I have the model 2 genesis with the CD and 32x attachment already and they only work on the model 1.mvsfan wrote:since your looking for someone to do it,

There is a Master System converter that works with the model 2 Genesis/Mega Drive. I have one.

The 32x doesn't support Master System games as B32 (Cart Detect signal) isn't properly terminated on the 32X's end.
The 32x requires an additional modification to make it work properly.

Yeah, you would just have to remove that useless piece junk from the model 2 and insert the converter directly. Or am I missing something here?

You can do that.kamiboy wrote:Yeah, you would just have to remove that useless piece junk from the model 2 and insert the converter directly. Or am I missing something here?
Of course, unhooking an entire system (32x) every time you want to play Master System games on your Genesis isn't very practical.
