I have a new framemeister with seemingly two issues and wanted to get some feedback as to whether this is normal behavior or not.
1) Traversing the menu options is very slow and sometimes unresponsive. I have found this to be true when using the buttons on the unit or the remote with both 2.00a and 1.11 firmwares. Sometimes I have to mash any of the buttons 3-4 times (on device or remote) to get it to register.
2) I can't seem to get HDMI passthrough working. I have tried 3 different sources, all three light up the input light on the front of the unit yet I cannot get any picture outside of the blue screen from the unit itself (I have also tried two displays). I have toggled through the available resolutions as well as the "HDMI_1_DIRECT" option to ON (also tried OFF), and finally I have tried the second HDMI input port as well. Is there anything I may be missing to get this to work properly?
Any ideas on either of these two issues, am I doing anything wrong?
Thanks!

Re: Framemeister HDMI passthrough and unresponsive menu issu
Could be defective. I haven't yet messed with passthrough, but the menu is responsive when I use the remote. The only part where I have to hold the button for a couple secs is when powering the unit on or off, but I think that was intentional.

I can tell you the FM remote may be the worst remote I've ever used. The thing never wants to register a command, even an inch away.

Smashbro29: do you find the same problem when using the buttons on the unit itself or is it just the remote?Smashbro29 wrote:I can tell you the FM remote may be the worst remote I've ever used. The thing never wants to register a command, even an inch away.

Re: Framemeister HDMI passthrough and unresponsive menu issu
The remote is not very responsive to begin with. It doesn't record multiple taps so you have to wait until the curser moves down before you can press it again.
As for the hdmi pass through, I have never used this feature but when I run my component through my "d" input, I have to press the "d" input to get out of my "RGB" inputs. I would imagine you just need to switch the input.

Re: Framemeister HDMI passthrough and unresponsive menu issu
HDMI passthrough works for me, no special requirements the remote isn't the most responsive but works at a distance in my experience.
Saying that I never could get any HDMI audio working with mine.

Re: Framemeister HDMI passthrough and unresponsive menu issu
At this point it seems to be a defective unit. The HDMI passthrough does not seem to work with any combination I can throw at it. The unresponsiveness seems to be somewhat normal behavior from what I have heard...
