Do these use Steam CEG? In other words, are they merely sold over Steam or are they locked to its DRM?

I made sure to allow it so you can run the games without the Steam client running; I don't like being tied down by it.
(But then -obviously- the Steam stuff doesn't trigger, so the leaderboards won't update, the achievements will unlock only *in-game* but not in the Steam system, no trading cards, steam cloud, etc.)

Thanks. Yup, Serious Sam Double D XXL is its own game, not part of this group.
Incidentally, Weapon of Choice was the proof Devolver/Croteam needed for them to ask us to make a 2D Serious Sam.

Shout out to Jaimers for having the high score in Game Type for the launch week. I think I'm still 4th. I'm not certain exactly but the new week's leaderboard should turn over some time tomorrow.
I'm thinking of adding the ability to look back at last week's scores, in addition to the current week. Any other thoughts to improve it, throw 'em at me.

Something odd happened when I was playing Game Type yesterday. I had a run where the crab enemies threw out fewer bullets. Next run, even fewer bullets; next run, no bullets! Obviously, this makes it pretty hard to score, so i quit the game and started again, and everything was back to normal. Not sure if it's a bug or intentional - I noticed that the cat boss was throwing out a different bullet pattern during these runs, so maybe it wasn't a bug and there was some kind of rank change?

Anyway, pretty fun game. I'll probably keep coming back for the weekly high score table

Come to think of it, I could have exploited the no-bullets effect and got the achievement for reaching Loop 10, but I was only thinking about score...

MBG asked me to mention when Shoot 1UP and Game Type went up on Restart Syndrome - if you've been playing either game and want to throw a score up, now's your chance!

Updated Game Type with the ability to look at last week's leaderboards, and this week's. Also fixed an annoying bug where it couldn't decide what week it was if it was at the start of the month (like now). And fixed nasty score bug in Shoot 1UP, where you *were* allowed to post scores with a < 100% game speed! Very sorry about that one (thought it was fine before launch obviously!) But now it's actually, really, actually fixed, you only post if your gameplay speed is >= 100%.

Also, if you have any friends that are 'afraid' of shmups, Shoot 1UP now has a 'Goof Off mode'. The game spawns more frequent 1UPs and it lets you get to 30 ships pretty easily, so it's lots of fun and chaos, especially in local coop.
Makes for a good good drinking/drunk game, you barely need to pay attention in that mode. (And yes, I've really, actually checked the score board--you don't post to global scores in that mode You do have to beat it at least once though, but even beating it in Chilled (easy), with a slower default speed will unlock it.

I cleared Shoot 1UP a while back, but went back to it recently and played it for score. Judging by the achievement stats and the online rankings, it would appear that not many people have figured out how to use the shield to maximize your score.
