Say, Brian, how are you liking Hermie Hopperhead? The character and level design are pretty soulless, but the gameplay is tops IMO.

Picked up Technic Beat for the PS2...nice, but I gotta get used to the timing.

And soon to be arriving,

Virtua Fighter 2 w/ a Saturn Hori Stick, $30 shipped

And R-Type Final.

EDIT: I bought Final for less than $6 shipped, as it was listed as a disc-only game on eBay. Turns out not only was it complete, it was still sealed. :D

I like Hermie; it is a fun diversion. The game is primitive, but you can tell straight away how much they emulated Mario. With so many levels, I haven't really seen a lot of it yet, but I like the whole egg and jump on head bit. Too bad they never made another one, the game seems like it could've been a contender.

Haven't really picked up a lot lately. Just a few GC titles:

Zelda:WW
Super Mario Sunshine
Simpsons Hit and Run

And I don't really see a whole lot on the horizon I'd consider to be "must have" (The only one I can think of right now is Forza Motorsport.) I'll probably also pick up Half Life 2 at some point to give my new computer something to chew on.

Have you played the Forza demo yet? The handling is dreadful - feels like the barge racing as found in GT3, in fact it's very much like GT3, with much worse frame update. Save your money and get a copy of PGR2...

Yes I have tried the Forza demo, and it takes some getting used to, but I was eventually able to get the car around the track pretty well. It's a whole lot better with a wheel/pedal setup too.

The Colin McRae Rally series on this gen of consoles is unbeatable in rally racing games, even better than what GT puts out in the rally races.

Haven't played a Forza game yet, tho.

just for corrections sake not "a", "the." Forza is Microsofts attempt to compete with GTurismo. it even has the ridiculous multi-view mode (take several consoles and hook them up to several tvs so you can look to your side and see your side ingame. WOW, that's expensive!)
I have no sig whatsoever.

Just a suggestion, why don't people list multiple games per line by system like I did? Makes things much less spammed...

Resident Evil 4
Devil May Cry
Onimusha 3

I'm catching up on the times. I just fell in love with cheap modern gaming. I'll be picking by the bunch until I run dry from cheap games. Then, I'll get what's hot now. I got RE4 cheap, btw. CHEAP CHEAP CHEAP. I feel delirious delight at the sound of it.
