Edit: Oops. Made a mistake. I didn't see the "Normal" requirement, so I added the score I just got using the difficulty setting that was required for this thread.

Added some heavy milking to the score.

EDIT: To be honest, having a hi score thread for this game is pointless, since you can milk the last boss indefinitely and get any score you want.

Pretty much. This is one of those games that a "No Milking' clause (and follow-up replay submission for proof of no milking, since various EMUs can record movies for playback in the EMU itself) is needed to keep the scores more focused on finding as many hidden bonus, and killing as many enemies, as you can. Stage 1 alone has a seemingly infinite milking spot that's stupidly easy to exploit. Still, I did some milking of my own...

My elbow hurts from sitting there so long

Anyway, I'm done with the milk-fest. I love this game, and don't want to ruin it by milking for hours on end each time I play. My 6,650,560 score was virtually milk-free, and I'm rather proud of that score considering all the dumb chances I took to get it.

Edit: According to my present post count, I'm supposed to sail the ocean blue now.

Yeah, I'm done here too. There's no way I can beat your 'true' score without resorting to milking, so I'm throwing in the towel.

The Coop stays as the champ.

I must not be a very ambitious scoring person.

After a no miss run of normal I only have - 4,943,860
