GBA Steel Empire - European release

Post by Herr Schatten »

Maybe this is old news, but I never knew the game was supposed to be released outside of Japan. Yet when I visited my local game shop yesterday, there it was - a domestic release of GBA Steel Empire. Funny Engrish in the cutscenes, heh.

It got a European release last August. I started this thread on it at the time. I've never seen it for sale in a store though, only ever online.

I still havn't got round to buying it yet though despite its low cost in various places. I guess I just don't want to buy a game I already have 2 copies of on the Megadrive.

i've seen it once in a shop but decided against it. it justs eems a bit silly to play on such a small screen as i have phalanx and i have a few problems on that as it is. i think i'm just going to try and find a good megadrive copy when i repurchase one of those. i think i may actually start a collection of megadrive shmups but that's another day.

Seems fairly uncommon no matter what region release you're going for.

It really is a great little shooter for on the go though. Up there with Gradius Galaxies. These are the only two GBA shooters I've kept.
