Under Defeat for DC
pretty damn expensive for a poster!
the collector in me makes me want to cancel my game only pre-order and go for the game + poster version, but maybe i shouldnt.
the only way to hang a poster properly without ruining them is to frame them, so consequently i have a ton of really nice, un-hung posters sitting around the house.
i should probably just stick with the game only pre-order.
its getting close now! cant wait to play.

Okay. I just pre-ordered my copy today. I went with the "Regular Edition". I pre-ordered it from NCSX.com. The people there have been really helpful, and it's the only site I found that would accept a mailed in money order for payment. I currently don't have Paypal or any online accounts
.
Has anyone ordered from NCSX.com before? Anybody ever had any problems with them in the past??

Ok.. so UD is going to be the true-shin-hyper-X-complete-final-last-2.0-for.matching.service DC release...?
http://www.sega.co.jp/dc/undefeat/home.html
I mean, Trigger Heart Exelica isn't going to spontaneously occur on the DC now... right? Because the whole "this is the last DC game" is starting to sound like The Boy Who Cried Wolf.

Can we actually believe it this time?Kron wrote:Its due to this line on the Segadirect DC UD page:

We've been told for the past 4 years that we were getting "the last DC game". It actually feels cliche now. Granted, if it is 100% true (and Sega stick by the decision) then at least it will be one fantastic parting gift to DC faithfuls (you know, just like Ikaruga was 4 years ago, and Border Down in 2003... and Psyvariar 2 as well as Shiki 2 in 2004... and to some extent Trizeal in 2005...).
Not to mention that I'll finally be able to start work on my DC Shooting Special.

One thing I will say, after watching video of stage 5, I was really impressed by the reflections in the water. At first, I thought they were other craft on the screen... it took 2 or 3 viewings before I realized that I was looking at the underside of all of craft.

Except you are assuming the game will come to DC. It won't if Sega doesn't print DC GD-Roms anymore. Sega's site is the one saying it's the last DC game. It's entirely possible in the next fiscal year (Sega's business year ends March 30th) that Sega has decided to discontinue all DC related services. In the past few weeks they've shut down servers for some remaining online DC titles.dai jou bu wrote:No.Kiken wrote: Can we actually believe it this time?

Why can't they put DC games out on CD. Why must they be on GD-Roms. Those bootlegs people sell are on cd-rs, aren't they?

Do you really think Sega has any control over this any more? If I made a game for the DC and put it out on a CD, do you think Sega is in any position to stop me?jiji wrote:Also, as licensor of the DC platform, Sega surely has say-so over what media licensed developers release games on.

G.Rev updated their online magazine today with a few tidbits. Here's what (I think) I can make out with crappy translation tools.
-Reservations for Under Defeat are going better than they expected (though they didn't expect much). They also mention the limited edition will have to go into production soon so reserve now.
-As proof that Grev listens to their fans, they understand there is people outside Japan that wish to play Sendo No Rondo 360. They still have a long way to go with the game but promise to keep a open mind to the idea. They also ask foreign gamers if they honestly believe the game could sell in a another country. *-neo

I already put my preorder in for this, so weather I like it or not, I'm getting it.
Question: any info on the controls? I looked at the website, stick, two buttons, but don't see anything that resembles an explanation about pivoting? Hope it's similar (or just exactly the same) as ZG2. Anyone played it or know?

IIRC, you pretty much pivot automatically as you move back and forth, unlike in ZG2, where you used a separate button to change direction...I think you can choose between "normal" (as in, you tilt in the direction you're moving) and "reverse" (you tilt away from where you're moving) pivot settings. I think that's what I'd seen mentioned somewhere around here.

From here
G.Rev Tsuushin's latest issue states that Under Defeat has been sent off for the master copy, and that a healthy number of preorders has slightly exceeded their expectations.

As far as Senko no Ronde Revision X goes, all they have to do is NOT make it region coded. Thats it. It would sell VERY well then.
As for Under Defeat, I'm glad to see they're getting the support they should! Maybe it'll convince them to continue with the DC support for awhile.

RABBLE RABBLE RABBLE!!!!!!
Wouldn't have as many people to play with domestically. Could play with the Japanese...but that means lag, and getting your ass kicked since they've had it in the arcade for so long.As far as Senko no Ronde Revision X goes, all they have to do is NOT make it region coded.
