Wow, that's sick. I can't really recognise most of them. Are they anime characters, or mostly game-related?

Must be anime.

Anime, manga and game. Reko's in there, so is Fumiko and Niigi. Also Kanzaki Sumire, Narusegawa Naru, Belldandy, Urd, Skuld, Hazuki, Kasumi, Kamio Misuzu, Nakoruru, Tsukamoto Yakumo, Sakuraba Aoi, Ayanami Rei, Soryu Asuka Langley, Ren, Stimpy, Etna, Flonne...

Professor Teresa will be coming soon ^_^
(One thing I really want is a 1/6 scale Jehuty or Anubis...)

... I have an addiction x_x

(Then again, you haven't seen my design library yet, either ^_-)
nim wrote:nice, but dude why are they boxed? how do they bring you joy? :P
They are boxed as I have had some drunken, ham-fisted friends accidentally snap an arm or a leg off some of my favourites. so they are displayed in their boxes, for safety -_-;;

I buy them because I like them. I admire the skill in the production of them, they look nice, they are well crafted (much better than the crap you get at ornamental shops around here).

Not everyone buys stuff because it gives them some form of pleasure. Some people buy stuff because they want to ^_-

By the way, the Ibara ending music rocks. Keep forgetting to mention that.

Do you have the Gungrave action figure? That one's an amazing piece of work - I have mine in an action pose, on top of our TV. There's also a G-Taste girl on one game rack, Reko on another, and the witch from Shiki standing next to a rare black Tachikoma on the fireplace ;-)

I've seen the Gungrave one, looks really nice, but Gungrave itself doesn't interest me, so I passed it up. The only articulated figures I have are of Rei and Asuka from Evangelion, the very difficult to find (outside of YAJ) special edition little figures that are part of the 10th Anniversary Issue of Shonen Ace magazine.

If you haven't already got it, Niigi from Shiki 2 is still in stock at Animaxis ^_-

I have Etna from Disgaea on preorder, and I'm looking for the Organic Street Fighter edition of Chun-Li, because it's pretty cute ^_^

The Professor Teresa figurine and the Ibara OST are on preorder from Play-Asia. Can't wait ^_^ (Now, how to get a hold of the figurines of the Rose sisters...)

Can anyone recommend this sountrack as a good purchase? I have heard some bad things about it so I don't want to end up with a crappy soundtrack.

I like the OST. I think a lot depends on whether or not you like the style of music on the OST. The cave website has a few sample tracks for you to listen to.

I love the samples but someone told me the person who I learned about Ibara's music from and Ibara was one of his most anticipated soundtracks of the year said it was crappy. I need to get as much opinions on the music as possible because my next purchase will be my last for about a year so I need to make it count. Do you know how long Ibara's OST is?

45:31 with a 4 minute long Voice collection in there.

I find the music to be quite obnoxious =\

Trust me, when you're dodging bullets and blasting everything that moves, you don't really pay much attention to the music ^_-

Just a head's up, for anyone who is interested... Play-asia is having a huge sale, and I just noticed this figure there, $30 off, only $20 :P Just ordered one.

Matter of preference - if we're still discussing the Ibara soundtrack, it's the best they've done, by a huge huge margin - PROPER SHMUP MUSIC, none of this new age techno crap. I disqualify DDP/etc from around that era, for being horribly downsampled loops.

Am I the only person here who would rather have toys of the spaceships/jets and stuff rather than the girls? :?

Figures still look awesome though. :) I demand that whoever gets them first posts lots of pictures.

Then you'll like this.
Even answers the question of what Reko would look like in a rose dress. :)

No. I'd love to have a cool Vic Viper or maybe an R-9 on my shelf. The only Vic Viper figure I've ever seen is the prize for the Gradius V competition and that's just stupidly expensive to acquire. The R-9 demands assembly and painting skills, neither of which I have.

Oh, and there's that extremely sweet Guardian's Knight figure, probably only one in existance. I'd rather take that over nude figures of all the Cave girls any day of the week.
No matter how good a game is, somebody will always hate it. No matter how bad a game is, somebody will always love it.

I don't care much for R-Type games, but their ship design is lovely.

I agree that I'm sick and tired of all the techno shmup scores but that doesn't mean all of them are bad, just that I think synth rock/rock is better for a game with fast paced action.
