I like this title that Triangle Service came up with. How did Triangle Service get publisher Datam Polystar to do the PlayStation 2 version?. Whoulda be any diffence if Datam Polystar did the Dreamcast version?. Triangle Service shoulda did this version for the Dreamcast with the extras.

Sorry, couldn't resist. No, I don't think the publisher would have made much of a difference.

I'm not trying to be mean at all. Trust me I've made some of the most pointless topics on this board. But it is difficult to understand what this topic is about. Triange Service is one guy. I'm surprised the game even made it to dreamcast at all. Much less is getting a PS2 port. The PS2 version is getting the extras because it being released after the DC version to influence people to buy it again probably.

There's at least a new minigame included. "SHOOTING GINOUKENTEI (trial edition)" as Triangle Service's website puts it.Ganelon wrote:What extras are there anyway for the PS2 version?
I would also suspect they're going to clean up the slowdown a bit. But hopefully with a Wait option, since the slowdown does help considerably in few parts of the game.
No matter how good a game is, somebody will always hate it. No matter how bad a game is, somebody will always love it.

I don't really know, and I have no evidence whatsoever so this is a wild guess... but I'm guessing Triangle Service (yeah, pretty much one guy who hired a small but talented team to write the game) got DP to see that the game was at least mildly successful on a 'dead' system and got them to see that an extrapolation of sales on a current system might be profitable. Who knows... anyway, I like to think our support for the Dreamcast rev has had a little something to do with this great game being released to a wider audience. I'm glad to see it come out on the PS2!Maikeru_Rocks wrote:How did Triangle Service get publisher Datam Polystar to do the PlayStation 2 version?.
