Really, it's so horribly bad it's like a black stain on a perfectly good product.
To late! It's literally the first thing you hear as it's on the first stage in CS mode. And I rather love the song
For the record, the dual monitor mode is really god damn cool, although I can't really make much use of it with my laptop and mismatched second monitor-I-found-in-my-basement combo.
I'm tempted to buy a new second monitor that matches up with my laptop just to make proper use of this mode actually...
The vocals in Freedom are, well, all over the place, but I can't help but feel amused imagining Skykid wincing every time he hears them.

This Christmas Tom, I shall be serving up one thousand Freedom-glazed phalluses for your delectation.
As with the rest of the DBAC series, the track is perfectly synced to the stage presentation. The key change just as that huge laser destroys the mysterious tower mid-stage, and the way it crescendos just as Force Crab descends from the planet is just perfect.

Yeah, hearing it work in these setpieces really made the piece grow on me. It went from seeming like lukewarm elevator muzak with cornball lyrics to being something joyous, intense and triumphant. And it screams Darius.
Generally though DariusBurst CS seems to be performing pretty well in its current state. Other than direct input pads, I've been able to use multiple sticks/controllers without issues and outside of some small graphical bugs I've not had any performance issues, even when tested with a mixture of monitors running various aspect ratios and refresh rates. Partly expected though given the environment the arcade version runs in.
From my experience with it there mainly needs to be some quality of life changes in regards to menus and options. There's definitely a lack of coherency when it comes to navigating in general but as it stands now the game is in a pretty good place. Spoiler
That bint singing is the worst thing I've ever heard. I tried to make something worse with a fake Irish accent a few pages back in the DBCS thread, but even that was in tune. There has to be a way of disabling this shit, seriously? I couldn't suffer that.

I remember the guy from Pyramid mentioned inthis video that they match the stage design around the music in some cases which is pretty cool. The opening stage to G-Darius is still the best though.
A minor thing, but I noticed that Crimzon Clover is listed as a keyboard game with a warning before playing when I use big picture mode. The menus can be navigated completely with pad/joystick.

Is there something I'm meant to do to make this actually save my per-stage scores? Even after the latest patch it's still not saving. They aren't saved after training mode runs either.
Not that I know of, they worked fine for me after the last patch (it doesn't save scores from training mode though). I just played a couple runs in score attack and the scores were saved.

I installed Crimzon Clover on my new computer and I have stumbled upon a few bugs.
Screen turns black and stays so for like one minute when I quit the game
Setting to resolution higher than 720p reduces the size of the whole screen inside a black frame.
I downloaded my old save from Steam Cloud but I deleted the config files and it did not work.
