I don't know where Neverland read about this but I saw it on http://www.ncsx.com/2006/011606/ncs0116u.htm.icycalm wrote:Where did you see this?
And this is the quote in question,
Ibara Black Label pcboard kit
Cave is accepting preorders for a limited edition of Ibara which is priced at Y248,000 (US$2,147.55) for vendors. They didn't disclose how many have already sold since preorders were opened earlier this month but the production quantity will be limited to 100 pieces. NCS customers interested in procuring a kit are welcome to request one. Preorders will ship in mid-late February 2006 from our location in the USA.

Not likely... Since this is brought to the PS2 by Taito (as opposed to Arika), it'll probably get the same shit treatment that Mushi got for its Arrange Mode. Let's hope not, though.Icarus wrote:I would be extremely amused if the Arranged Mode on the PS2 conversion is identical to Ibara Black Label ^_-

Yeah, probably not exactly the same...I don't recall anyone who's played the "original" Ibara mentioning any sort of multiplier which spread Galuda-esque numbers all over the place, nor do I recall it being mentioned for Arrange mode. I can only wonder how it might work...Icarus wrote:I would be extremely amused if the Arranged Mode on the PS2 conversion is identical to Ibara Black Label ^_-
In any event, the real thrill for me is...
Gwa ha ha haaaa! The unspeakable non-hardcore evil that is the Rank-O-Meter is spreading! SPREADING! And no one can stop it!1. Rank Meter is displayed
But seriously, I'm glad to see that the effort to make such a complex system more transparent and approachable is not just an isolated effort on the PS2 port. Hopefully the trend continues.

what do you mean by renderized? I think the sprites are already pre-rendered and then touched up afterwards. I know that can lead to ugly results, but I think cave does things pretty well with their artwork.
Also.. I'm not cave bashing at all, but whats with the multiplier number stuff covering the screen.. does it really need to be that excessive?

I've got some pics and 200MB of movies but I can't upload them right now. Probably in a few hours. I'll let you guys know.
Such a shame they are only making 100 copies.
Edit:
update
No words yet, but you guys probably don't need them.

Now, I just watched your large vid of Ibara Kuro (the guy who plays first with Bond [AB] looks like he knew what he was doing), but there are one or two things that concern me about the game itself.
For starters, the ship now seems to vacuum up any items that are within close proximity. While that does make item collection a bit easier, it also takes away that which makes the Raizing breed of games such a challenge - Medal chasing. Now, it looks like the only way you can actually drop a Medal is to do it on purpose -_-;;
Those multipliers are a huge distraction. They seem to appear when a bomb is used to nullify bullets. And in a game designed the way Ibara is (pointy needle bullets, lots of debris), it looks like it'll actually be easier to die in Ibara Kuro. -_-;;
While I like the look of the game (and that arcade loks like the place to be), my original enthusiasm for Ibara Kuro is wavering a little, now I've seen a bit of what's been changed.

naah checkall the vids closeley, all the players drop their medals i think, it seems it sucks in both medals and bomb icons, and it only sucks in medals within a certain proximity to the ship (looks to be about 2x10K medals range)...Icarus wrote: For starters, the ship now seems to vacuum up any items that are within close proximity.
