Haha... in a previous life I'd have joined you. I just moved house as well (love my new hood) and have yet to hook up any systems. Not sure if I will. I only have a flat screen now, and no XRGB. So yeah... probably not going to happen. Pretty busy with other things as well. I still have my handful of Saturn & DC games... no cart systems. Maybe one day I'll get a few... that should help me w/ the ladies...When I get unpacked and stuff I'll be glad to have a dorky debate over standard output to RGB mod

I was just reading about this game in the Untold Story of Japanese Game Developers and my curiosity is sufficiently piqued. Let us know what you think about DororoObiwanshinobi wrote:

Moderately priced and sized collection of photos from Provincetown, MA circa 1961-1966. Apparently this place has quite history in counter culture circles. Seeing the photos and reading the limited commentary by the late Al Kaplan took me to a place I had no idea existed. The perfect length to flip through with some good tunes playing.

No pic, but Hard Reset - by the makers of the 2013 Shadow Warrior reboot - is less than $2.25 right now. Nothing groundbreaking so far, but a decent mix of straightforward shooting and secret hunting, along with hunting golds to buy weapons with (bah).
And a note for the input lag watchers: V-sync on, triple buffering or not (I assume unchecked means double), the game plays very smoothly. And how can you hate a company that calls itself Flying Wild Hog? Almost as good a name as People Can Fly.

Love that place. When I used to live in CT I would go to Cape Cod a few times a summer with the GF P-town is a really cool area.GaijinPunch wrote:Moderately priced and sized collection of photos from Provincetown, MA circa 1961-1966. When I played it some years ago, it came as one of the PS2's finest action-adventures (a genre I bought PS2 for to begin with). I rate it higher than ~90% of Wind Waker.scrilla4rella wrote:Let us know what you think about Dororo
There is a lot to say about it, but in hindsight, what puts it all together is the fast-paced and fun freeroaming (once you get your leg back). Where I thought Wind Waker and Metroid Prime dropped the ball. Think 3D Ys dashing with camera closer to the character (it plays part in the majority of bossfights etc.)
Remarkably, Ōkami can be equally speedy out in the fields and more lately NieR allowed us to ride boars crazy fast.
Dororo's English lines are delivered with much flair, I might add.
The 2007 Dororo live-action film isn't bad either (if rather Spartan-produced).

My Pier Solar MD + Strategy Guide order is finally completed.
Can't believe how long it took:
- almost 9 months to receive the game
- another 8 months for the guide book
Several huge delays and false hopes. Some people waited much longer than I did, reading the forums hasn't been pretty.
WM do a great job with their products, just be aware of what to expect when you place an order.
If Project Y turns nice I'll probably pre-order it, forget I ever placed an order, and be happy when it arrives in a few years from now.

still haven't got my dreamcast copy. it's said "shipping" on my order for over three weeks now. I'm just surprised that I'm actually going to receive at all at this point though. I kind of wish I had of ordered the MD version rather than the dreamcast one, although iirc I didn't actually own a MD when I put my preorder in.
despite all the issues I'll probably do the same thing as you with project y as it's looking pretty great so far.

It uses these program cards that you have to solder components onto to save patches.

I also got this flyer.

That Osman poster looks like something that would fit to the tune of that cheesy MegaMan cartoon. "Super Dynamite Action. Oz-Man!". Nice Detana Twinbee and Twinbee Yahhoo stuff too. I have the collection with both games on PSX, which I like quite a bit.AKRATEN wrote: I was up in San Francisco this weekend at a shmup meet and

Midas Interactive in da house.

Both output 60 Hz. Tokyo Road race is Battle Gear 2 (netplay axed out, which is rather academic anymore).

Robot Warlords is 50 Hz-only and not even fullscreen, so I doubt it's full speed, BUT it's turn-based and the only version in English known to me, so there is that (it was dirt-chep too). Transformers (60 Hz alright) is THAT technical marvel of a game (don't you be talking shit about PS2 if you haven't played it).
In case you wonder...

Both 60 Hz and I was most interested in P.N.03 for you see, I consider that-gen Capcom the masters of real-time character animation and I read in P.N.03 it was all animated freehand, so I had to see it with my own eyes on the real thing. So far I only saw demo videos, but the kinship with Rez and Space Channel 5 is nothing short of striking.
Now, the rotten apple.

No 60 Hz and, although it's fullscreen, how would I know if it's full speed? How lame of the 2005 Namco, in a Tekken spin-off, no less? This one's on its way out.

The Cossacks of the Kuban is one rad film, something of the Soviet Johnny Guitar (same year and - I suspect - the same film stock, judging by the colours).
Crimes of the Heart is going to be a Christmas present for my momma. I just know she'll like it.

DUDE. Battle Gear 2 is the bomb, and the PAL version is how I play it as well. I hope I'll see some time attack results from you.Obiwanshinobi wrote:Both output 60 Hz. Tokyo Road race is Battle Gear 2 (netplay axed out, which is rather academic anymore).

MAYN, is this game brutal or what. I knew it was 60 Hz thanks to you, by the way, hence the purchase. Now, I'm not gonna give up on it easily. BUT! For the time being, I need some Burnout 2 or 3 to ease up my ego.Ghegs wrote:DUDE. Battle Gear 2 is the bomb, and the PAL version is how I play it as well. None of the online 60 Hz compatibility guides I found is complete or 100% accurate (for instance - Death by Degrees was supposed to be 60 Hz according to one), but for the prices I paid, the risk was minuscule and I can easily sell off what I don't wanna keep.
Tokyo Road Race kept i.LINK compatibility, so even 2 player head to head is possible if you do this kind of LAN-partying!

Damn Tim, you know there are quite a few Americans out there who still lives in tents due to this shitty economy, and you're dropping loads on a single game which only last 20 min. Do you think it's fair? How much did you spend this time?
