Well, there goes the last justification for my 360's existence.

About damn time G.Rev! I am sure you've been rolling in all that Kokuga money and forgot to give PC owners a chance to enjoy your games.

That makes pretty much all the big current Japanese STG devs/pubs, right? CAVE, MOSS, G.rev, Triangle Service... I guess there's still Success or Awee or whoever's working on Psyvariar right now.
Anyway, I'm glad G.rev finally made it to PC and I'm doubly glad they started with Strania.

Well dang, that's cool. Maybe I'll try giving the game another shot with this.

Whoa, G.rev entering the steam fray, well, damn. And for once I end up typing titles like this to see and check if there's anything unknown like this coming out, lol. I mean, besides the 360 and the Nesica release, this is a nice surprise.
Well, I'm expecting to be the same price as both the game and add-on ($15), but you never know if it'll be as its original price ($10) and maybe a launch discount.

Well, it is, but since G.rev is coming by steam now. How about finally we'll get Border Down (if it ever happens). But then they'll probably give us Under Defeat HD or Mamoru-Kun Curse next, but we'll see one day. (Sheesh, maybe even both Senko no Ronde's. or whatever catalog G.rev has.)Chacranajxy wrote:This doesn't even feel like real life anymore.

Also, speaking about the price that I've mentioned back, it seems from G.rev's blog (which is in moonrunes obviously.) mentions the game will cost 1480 Yen, or about nearly $15 (makes sense since the Game and its DLC from the 360 release cost that way together), but yeah, a 20% launch discount will be in effect making the game about $12. So yeah, not too bad for both the base game and the DLC included.

Excellent news! Adore this game. Hopefully Side Vower will be available at some point, too. That was a superb and uncommonly robust DLC package. Better than the original stages, I thought...
Re: Strania-The Stella Machina announced for steam (27 Novem
^ Says right in the first post and the Steam page that Side Vower will be included right away at no extra cost.

Nice to see g.rev on steam, I think there titles will actually resonate quite well with the western audience especially under defeat.
Re: Strania-The Stella Machina announced for steam (27 Novem
They're pricing it $5 higher so I wouldn't say there's no extra cost...Ghegs wrote:^ Says right in the first post and the Steam page that Side Vower will be included right away at no extra cost.
EDIT: JP price is 1480 yen, so maybe they'll round down instead of up... I wonder.
Re: Strania-The Stella Machina announced for steam (27 Novem
Holy shit, these just keep coming. What is up with this autumn?
Never got to play Side Vower and never actually beat the original campaign either on X360, got to last stage I think. Will totally be getting this!

If watching the trailer of the game
makes you feel a certain way
I would be very happy if
you would give the game a try

What is even happening. Maybe more than 5 people will play this for score now :3
If this happens to have online multiplayer, the XBLA version had the best netcode I've ever seen for a shmup. So it might be a fun game to play in co-op with your friends over steam. Rather than forcing input delay it tries to keep the players in sync in some other way (though Side Vower had a tendency to desync with bad connections).
I'm guessing this is a quick port of the XBLA or nesica version but really hope we get to see a new port of Border Down later on.
A pc version of Senko no Ronde DUO would also be godlike, damn.

This. As much as I love Strania, more people need to play Border Down.Zaarock wrote:…but really hope we get to see a new port of Border Down later on.

I will buy like 3 or more copies if this turns out to be true.

I have literally never played it.

Re: Strania-The Stella Machina announced for steam (27 Novem
It's a shmup designed to appeal to people who like environmental hazards and constant strategic weapon switching.
Each stage has a fair number of gimmicks, and destroyed enemies drop their weapons which you can grab. You can hold two weapons at once, and store a third which you can switch to at any time. The game is actually pretty well balanced around the different weapons it gives you, and you can approach most situations in several ways.
In a lot of ways it feels weird at first (especially the Stranian side) but it becomes a lot more appealing as you get used to its quirks.

YES! It seems it includes the Side Vower DLC. I never got that on XBLA so this is a definite purchase for me.
Awesome!

Amazing news! I loved Strania in x360. Damn, that epic music and explosions.. I will have to end with a steam pc for shmupping...
Great G .Rev, thats the way things are done: with dlc included in the final price
I hope they get encouraged to publish Under Defeat considering is also running in Nesica like Strania

Ooooh, G.Rev.
I haven't ever played Strania, but G.Rev has never done me wrong (aside from Under Defeat, of course), so color me interested.
