I must have missed all of this. Then again, I ALWAYS miss the drama.system11 wrote:Rewound topic to where it was civil and bonus removal of stupid comment.
It's sort of funny, because a few days ago, I was going to say how happy I was that the thread was so civil, and wasn't the mess, that a lot of sites have with this kind of discussion.
Oh well.

However, I didn't miss the drama, with the cancellation of the SXSW panels. I'm really disappointed to read about this. Once again, it's due to "threats of violence". Now, not for a second, am I going to say "there's no way ANYONE in GG did this" or that it's not third party trolls. But at this point, anti-GG tends to have lots of meetups, with no issues. EVERY freaking GG meetup, gets a bomb threat, and has to be cleared out. Even the SPJ one did.
They will say that GG call them, themselves. But why wouldn't GG call them, in on AGG too? I dunno. With Arthur "It ends tonight" Chu..I don't really trust them so much.
I get so tired of this. I am absolutely dying to see a debate of ideas, or something. Anything that is public, that will actually show what people that are pro-GG, are all about. The narrative is not representative, to what is going on, whatsoever.
It's like Bizarro World, or something.
I am on Twitter, and follow a lot of GGs..see the updates..follow a lot of "big" E Celeb types. And I have NEVER seen this "anti woman" thing, to any degree. The only place I have ever seen that, is on YT comments. And it is rare.
They are, mostly, anti-third wave feminist (for good reason). But not anti-feminist, completely, as Christina Hoff Sommers, is very popular with them.
Actually, most females, in GG, tend to be followed a lot, and are popular (Like shoeonhead). But you'd expect that, from any kind of "geeky" movement.
I am willing to listen, as I know people on the net can be horrible...but I think they're just lying. Some proof would be nice.
Then again, their idea of "harassment" is pretty...broad.
This was put up by Brianna Wu, as proof of harassment, by the Open Gaming Society. This got them banned, from Twitter, for a day.
I mean, it's a bit trolly...but really?
