Pizza wheel vs knife

Post by MOSQUITO FIGHTER »

No one in my family believes in pizza wheels. Every time I see them cutting a pizza with a knife I'm thinking "Why not just use a pizza wheel?". I think they work way better and are worth the extra hassle of cleaning.

Seriously, what is your stance pizza cutting implements?

Never tried a pizza wheel as I always use a big scissor that's on kitchen duty
Honestly don't think I've ever seen anyone use one here...

I used to own a pizza wheel, and I never found it any easier than a knife.

I had a pizza wheel and it got stolen (used at a open family function and never returned). If you get a proper one they're fucking timesavers by a long shot but the ones with plastic frames break too easily and aren't worth it.

I used to not think much of pizza cutters, until I was in Italy and bought a heavy-duty industrial one and it's awesome.

Cleaning a pizza wheel isn't much hassle IF you do it soon after you eat your pizza, before the cheese residue hardens... so pro pizza wheel

Yep, just watching the folks that make 'em Pizza Hut pizzas, they use the tried 'n' true rocker blade apparatus to get the job done fast 'n' quick. At home, have got a pair of pizza wheel cutters and they do work like a charm. By sticking 'em inside the dishwasher and using the power soak mode, they get "clean as a whistle" by the time the wash/drying cycle is done. Easy as pie.

Light Saber.

No actually I don't even cut pizzas, I just fold 1/4 and start eating by the pointy side.

Why would you need to cut a pizza?

I cut pizza with a knife and fork. Eating pizza that's been carved in to little triangles is the ultimate in culinary infantilism.

Pizza wheel.

Knives teen to drag the cheese. They're also a bit of a hassle.

Do what the pros do.

Another vote for pizza wheel here. Even a cheap one works miles better than a knife.

Seems like it would be far more efficient to just insert the pizza into the mouth. No cleanup, no loss of precious dough or cheese particles.

This thread is enlightening. I had no idea that anyone would use anything but a pizza wheel. Scissors is pretty clever, I might try that next time I make pizza.

Either you eat tiny pizzas or you have a gigantic mouth.

Pizza wheel - cuts pizza
Knife - cuts many many things
I do not need an extra cutting thing that's exclusive to something I eat about once a month!

I've lived with people who use scissors to cut pizza. I can't decide if it's genius or plain nuts.

Pizza wheel wins by a landslide.... suck it.
Damn Tim, you know there are quite a few Americans out there who still lives in tents due to this shitty economy, and you're dropping loads on a single game which only last 20 min. Do you think it's fair? How much did you spend this time?
