Have you framed your Ibara poster yet Icarus?Icarus wrote:Is that the regular B1 sized poster? If so, how much did the frame cost?
The posters I have are larger than B1 format by a few centimetres each way - 75cm x 105cm approx. to be safe - and thus the frames I want have to be custom made. £55 per frame ;_;
Unfortunately, both Ibara and Great Mahou posters are still awaiting frames. A local shop sells B1-sized clipframes, but on closer inspection, the posters themselves are a few centimetres bigger than the frame they are selling, and I don't fancy the idea of trimming the posters.Ord wrote:Have you framed your Ibara poster yet Icarus?
Nah I sold it. I needed the money to buy some pcbs. There's a guy I know in Edinburgh, who's giving me another one (for a small price) in a few weeks though, so I knew what I was doing.Icarus wrote:Unfortunately, both Ibara and Great Mahou posters are still awaiting frames. (I actually bought three 70x100 frames thinking that they'd fit, but now I have 3x frames that are so big I have very few prints that'll fit them -_-)
I found an online frameshop that makes custom sizes, but to fit the posters, the frames will have to be around 75cm x 105cm (a couple of extra cm for leeway), and will cost around £55 each. I haven't ordered yet, as I'm a little skint at the moment -_-;;
Have you framed yours yet? Did you purchase a frame, or make it yourself? Got pics? ^_^
I don't know what the dim. of B1 is, but I paid about what you were quoted. I have a friend who works at a high end gallery in Scottsdale (an upper-class area near Phoenix) and he got me a smoking deal, considering that the work is professional and the materials are top. He told me not to even ask what it would cost one of their customersIcarus wrote:Is that the regular B1 sized poster? If so, how much did the frame cost?

cyberdaioo on YJA sells them regularly (as well as Dimahoo).professor ganson wrote:I was in fact looking for this very poster by chance earlier today. Nice, undamned.
Ahh, great, at least I know that the price I was quoted isn't too extortionate, especially for something of this size. Lucky for you to have a good friend in a gallery who can cut you a deal ^_^undamned wrote:I don't know what the dim. of B1 is, but I paid about what you were quoted. If paying $178.00+ USD for a custom framed Playstation Working Designs/Taito Raystorm poster isn't too much, what is? (I wasn't willing to trim it down so that it would fit into a standard 24" x 36" do-it-yourself picture frame as this particular Raystorm poster has some extra details that would be lost if done so.) That's how much I paid for such a custom frame job and it was worth it -- still hangs on my bedroom wall for all to admire... ^_~Acid King wrote:I want to get the poster that came with my Espgaluda 2 kit framed but the it would be astronomically expensive considering the size of it. I've got a bunch of stuff that needs frames. Princess Mononoke movie poster, Under Defeat, Samurai Shodown V and last, but not least, Guinness posters.
