XRGB mini component / dterminal ?

Post by KabuTheFox »

something i keep seeing around is that the scaling and resolution is not so great when connecting through the dterminal to hdmi.

is this noticeably true? i have no way to test this out for myself

if this is true, is there a good (cheap) alternative setup for using component into the xrgb mini?

In my experience it's fine/ the same to my eyes. (I've used it with a Wii and component modded nes.)

Well on my lcd. The GameCube looked sharper and I didn't get line patterns on motion scene when I ran it through my component on my tv not the frameister. I still have to convert component to d terminal for my GBA player because I can adjust the smaller picture size to blow up to full screen on the frameister. I was hoping the d terminal would look nicer because I have small black pillars on both sides of the screen when I play melee. Your better off using the hdmi input on the mini or the native component ports on your tv.

For some reason. The d terminal cable for GameCube looks better on the Mini than my component to d conversion even though they are the same technology. I believe it because there is a chip in cord that does something different than the USA component cables. Although maybe it's the extra length in my converter cables although probably not because they are Canon brand and used for color coding. The cable model is iether dol-001 or dol-009.

No the motion scenes really suffer on 480p on the MINI. This annoys me because I use component to d terminal on my GameCube to blow up my GBA PLAYER.
