So, when do you think a collector's edition will be announced? I'm pretty sure there will be for it... :)

The Sega direct pre-order will be the only "Limited Edition" available and it comes with a LE phone card.

I've just noticed Yakumo has the Sega Direct version for sale on VGA:

It will retail at 15800 yen or $133. Sega did a similar thing when they released Puyo Puyo Fever to DC but it's really weird to see them offer it with a third party game.

A 2D shooter system bundle. Now that is old school cool. :)

NCSX just opened up pre-orders for Rajirugi today (for US $53.00).

They also had some news on the Japanese X-Box 360 launch... which apparently didn't go over too well.

While it may not be the official cover, it is definitely Milestone's own artwork.

That is some slick art, they surely must have been inspired at least a bit by JGR when making this game.

LOL, if Recap was still around, I'm sure he could tell us what the "correct" name of the game is.

Is there any pics / links for this "rajuruji - DC" game?

I googled it but found none.

Thanks.

A cell shaded shooter?!...Interesting.
The graphics are obviously below DC standards, but I wonder how well it plays.

Honestly, this game is seeming more interesting to me than the other two at the moment. AS USUAL, ANYONE KNOW A THING ABOUT THE SCORING SYSTEM?

This makes or breaks the purchase for me.

According to Sega's DC profile of the game, this is the offical art. Just curious, anyone know the role of this character? Milestone's site has a lot of art featuring her, is she perhaps the real character and the blue-haired pilot some sort of virtual heroine? *-neo

Game still on track to be in February 16, according to NCS. Looks like slickness, hope the scoring system is up to snuff as Rob said.

Tadayo (girl with glasses and purplish-blue hair) could be considered the navigator, I suppose.

I love the characters' style, they remind me of JGR's cast.

Soundtrack is going to be on sale soon through Amazon JP.
Check the official website.
Odd that is no reference to the DC version of Rajirugi on their website.Perhaps Sega is doing the port themselves

edit link for you non-katakana readers ;)

As far as I can tell, you destroy enemies with Shot and the secondary attack (which looks like a baseball bat) and use your short shield (activated by not firing or using the secondary attack), which generates power chips that fuel the bar at the bottom of the screen.

Once this bar is active, you have the option of using a special bomb-style attack that nullifies bullets, and converts them into power chips that fuels the antenna powerbar at the top of the screen. By charging the antenna (haha) you activate a multiplier that goes up in 2x, 4x, 8x, 16x. This bar will slowly deplete until you add more to the bar.

Keeping the antenna bar fully charged is likely integral to the scoring system. As for the different items I've seen, such as the basketballs and other stuff, not sure what purpose they serve other than points. You can hit certain items with your secondary attack as well, converting them into better items (a little nod to Raizing's Brave Blade, perhaps).

I'm quite interested in this myself, after watching the little replay clips from Milestone's website. I'm going to spring for the OST first though (as I like the music) and wait for the impressions to come in before I make a move for the game itself.

The purple haired girl with the glasses appears to be a support character, she gives you a bit of a lecture during the lengthy tutorial. (Tutorial music is pretty groovy BTW. I've always liked electronic music.)
