Shmups forum appreciation thread

Post by D »

I wanna express my appreciation for the moderators of this thread.
They are the presidents of the shmup society.
Thanks for getting the thread back online without loss of information.
Thank you for all your efforts.
If I ever could ever do something for you or for the forum I will. (like not posting threads that get locked)

Perhaps more members can express their feelings in this thread.........

Absolutely seconded. It's tough finding a host that will put up with high the high server load brought on by forum software. It would have been easier to just ditch the forum and be done with it, but you kept it going. Thank you!

Surprisingly the load isn't much at all, it was just bad in the context of people overloading a server with far too many shared accounts. One of their Admin even admitted to me in a private mail that it needs fixing...

We're now on a dual 1.4ghz Xeon with 2gb of ram and a raid array, the line is a pair of 16mbs with failover, and can burst to 100mb. The machine only has the forum and my personal site on it.

Hey don't we ALL apreciate the efforts of the site owners and the mods!?

This is by far my fave place on the net and that's all thanks to all of it's members, the mods who are doing a great job, and of course Malc for creating it! :D

I said all of this b4 but it can't hurt repeating it once in a while. ;)

Yeah. I'd also like to thank the creators/moderators of this site & forum. It's the only place where I can talk about my favorite videogame genre with people, who are not only friendly and helpful, but who actually "know their shit" about shmups. Plus, the site itself has helped me out alot in discovering shmups that I never even knew existed. It's easily one of the best sources, if not THE BEST source, on the net for shmups.

Thanks, and keep up the good work! :)
