There's this shmup I can remember very clearly, but I have no Idea what its called and I can't for the love of me find it since it seems to be quite obscure. It was quite the unusual little game. I searched everywhere and since this is a site with people whom I assume are experts in shmups I thought to ask here.
Here goes nothing!
-The game was a PC shmup and the graphics were 3D(true 3D) played on a 2D plane.
-Propably late 90s
-Main ship was of simple design a box with a pointy nose, 2 wings with 1 nacelle under each one, and though im not sure, a tail.
-It had an isometric perspective
-You didn't scroll vertically or horisontaly, but you only circled around a minaturised version of earth
-You had to protect earth from incoming dart looking bombs. If earth was hit, chunks of it would break until it was fully destroyed, It would be game over then.
-There were AI ships which tried to shoot you with green projectiles shot from their turrets. Said ships would battle it out in the background of the main menu
-there was a sequel that was a fully 3D space shooter. I only identify it as a sequel only because the main ship was the same(this last info is not very reliable).
Thanks anyway.
Bellow I found a game thats similar in concept
