but overall i trust scores even without a pic. i hate it when someone does this, because PCB players can't post an INP. i hate to play on emulators, and i wouldn't like the INP to become a requirement.
Given the controversy surrounding this post in the old DDP thread;

I don't think it would make any difference having pictures to back up a high score.

I reckon we'll just have to trust each other.

This board is based on trust. I think we can't allow anybody to "brake" this trust so easily. :!:
I do agree that Stahlfeder has to find a camera somewhere and take a pic and send it in. If he got the score, it's saved on his PS2 memory card (or if he has the PCB, it'll be saved there). While we can't confirm if he used autofire there or not, it would at least help in confirming his general score. I'd bet he DID use autofire but didn't understand what "default" and "alternate" meant on the scoreboard (he perhaps thought they referred to live stock/difficulty/etc?). His English does not appear to be very good, and this might also be a factor in the miscommunication going on. Anyway, if he just never posts again with any evidence, then yeah, it will probably be safe to assume then that his score is a fake.

Do you really think that Mushihime Sama is as famous as Ikaruga and followed by the same number of western players? Come on... ;)

Do you really think we must believe he discovered so much about Mushi (all by himself) to make that score without autofire hack in 4 days?!?
Yeah, right... In his dreams.
Well, a westerner could know Japanese (language) and learn the Japanese tricks at a Japanese Shmups forum. Some of us also know some Japanese (language) and could able to commucate with Japanese and learn tricks from them.

Freddie DDP allows you to record an INP with WolfMAME.

In that way we can be sure about the score. ;)

Guys I'm not saying we can never trust each other!

MrMonkeyMan just posted a 120M DDP score.
With not even a snap.
But I trust him! I've completely no doubt about his score!
We all know he's a great player!

I'm just saying that IN SOME CASES it could be better to have more informations.
Just for the good of the board.

You know, he can post whatever score he likes here, but it isn't a REAL world record without witnesses. I wouldn't worry about it so much. If he gets his jollies posting fake stuff on an obscure message board, he's still the one who has to live with himself knowing that he's a poseur. I wish he would post here and explain but hey, it's his choice.

Believe what you want guys. I'm sure that you all know the game very well, right? Yes, sure.

@ Rando: easy post, too easy to tell the entire truth. We know how time and passion Nev has put in the game before his no miss, this is a reason for the 'invasion'. The other one is the fact that, japanese or not (yes, we adore japanese players etc. etc.), probably there are not such points in the game. We've discuss a lot about, I'm honestly pretty sure about that.
Let's resume the discussion in London (and in italian  ) if you want ^_^

Btw where is Stahlfeder?

You're right, it's not really such a big deal, but in this case it appears he and Plasmo were having a score battle for several weeks over at Triggerzone until he tried to post his 68m score there too. To then find out you've been cheated all along is pretty damn frustrating, and I imagine especially so for a serious player like Plasmo. :(

Meh, my opinion is that StahlFeder is wrong and should just admit it, it's just that these wild off-topics are a bit annoying. Of course, two clicks and a mod can split a thread in two, but still :?

Beside that, i want you guys to be prepared for April, so let's focus on gameplay first

If you see a fake score you talk about it in the HS thread, is it so wrong?

We'll do our best ^_^
Probably the reason of our 'rage' was the fact that we're so much into the gameplay ;)

Sorry chitimi - I meant to give the impression I was backing up your argument rather than re-phrasing your viewpoint
