Formula 1 driver Jules Bianchi has passed away after finally succumbing to head injuries resulting from a crash at the Japanese GP last year.

This one hurts... if you're not familiar, check out his album Sakura. It's all over Youtube. I just played it for someone like a week ago.
Yeah, his death is very unfortunate. Sakura was such a wonderful album.

Rofl. I know, right? You'd have to screw up big time in order to offend your own party.

I'm genuinely upset. Donald Trump as president of America would have been the greatest source of lulz perhaps in all history.

It also means you might end up with Jeb Bush, in which case the world is fucked, rather than just Mexicans.

Another Swedish one. Musician and artist Robert Broberg died the night between monday and tuesday at an age of 75. He was one of my big childhood heroes, and I still listen to his songs.

I have to agree. I think Sir Crazy-in-Chief wouldn't probably have done much bad.

I don't think Jeb! or any other typical Republican candidates are going to win it, but we'll see. We did get his brother after all, and many lulz were not.

Can't say it's a tragedy, Stuart "The Brand" Baggs is dead. I can only assume he took a heroic dose of Psilocybin mushrooms, saw himself objectively for the first time in his life, had an existential crisis and killed himself.

Piper and Dusty Rhodes so close together. If you watched wrestling way back then as a child, these 2 guys were wrestling. Piper was to me the first cool heel wrestling had.

I only just heard this.

Bolt-Thrower's Drummer died at 38 suddenly:

http://www.blabbermouth.net/news/bolt-t ... ead-at-38/

I am absolutely shocked at this; he literally walked past me going into SO36 last year in Berlin.

That is way, way too young.

Noriyoshi Ohrai, one of the greatest movie/book/game poster artists of all time, died today at the ripe old age of 79.

Some of his best and most famous works:

Actor, US Senator, and sometimes Presidential hopeful Fred Thompson died today (November 1) at the age of 73.

For some inexplicable reason, I seem to have thought Joe Don Baker played the lovable cowardly rascal, the President's Chief of Staff in In The Line Of Fire. Nope, that was Thompson all the way! Hollywood sure loved the type, but now that Thompson's gone, who could fill that unique kind of character role?

Speaking of chiefs of staff and the White House, though, Thompson also had a not-so-minor role in the Watergate affair. He asked at least one pointed question which probably doomed the Nixon Presidency, but he also gave the Nixon staff some advance warnings about what would be asked. Overall, he conducted himself honorably in public service, exposing corruption and avoiding easy money from getting too close to his interests.

Here's to one of the most colorful and important members of the "supporting cast" of 20th century America.

Scott Weiland, of STP and Velvet Revolver fame, dead at 48.

Can't say it's surprising given his history (us 90s kids remember) but sad nonetheless.

One of the actors who played one of the vampires in the Lost Boys has died at the age of 52 due to a liver genetic deficiency.
