Raiden IV Arcade Original 2-ALL Clear.
1-miss on the 2-1 boss of all things by getting sniped by one of the tanks at point blank range lol.
I really like how the 2nd loop of this game feels, it's definitely much better than Raiden III was at least.

Realised that I've just started my fifth year of playing shooters. That's at least some sort of accomplishment, right?
Looking forward to diving deeper into Garegga. Off to a good start...

I've finished uploading all of what I have planned for the Raiden 25th Anniversary Arrangement Project of mine and in total it amounts to thirty-five pieces of music that are arranged. I'm not exactly certain as to whether or not it's actually worth being a tribute or not, but I'm happy I've finished it.

Congrats, maybe some day I'll try it a bit more seriously.

If you enjoy the game, maybe you could try out the 7 stage mode (default difficulty of Normal, or higher if you want) or overkill mode (Also default Normal, or you could go for higher if you wanted)

I realized the thing about World Ranking on the PS3 version actually being on Normal after I submitted my score. I'll need to actually get the 1-All on Original Mode now then work on the loop in that.

Actually, several of the Arcade scores from 360 version might also be affected by this issue as well. I think a few of the other arcade scores also used World Ranking.

Yeah, pretty much. Which mean that you should die as little as possible (or not at all) before the last stage

I'm posting this here because it fits into the triumph category.

I bought Strikers II this past week. It is perfectly playable on my PS 2, but looks like shit on my flat screen. My wife suggested picking up a small crt to play it on.

My brother came to visit tonight and on our way out for some beers and hockey I spotted an Aiwa F 2400 sitting in someones trash. I said if it was there on the way home I would grab it, and sure enough it was there two hours later.

10 blocks and we got it home. It wasn't exactly light, but it works perfectly. Strikers II looks so much better.

TRIUMPH :D!
You're sure to be in a fine haze about now, but don't think too hard about all of this. Just go out and kill a few beasts. It's for your own good. You know, it's just what hunters do! You'll get used to it.

Karma is a thing.

A few years back I put one of these in my buildings lobby with a sign that said "Give me a good home".

http://www.abt.com/product/23376/Sony-KD36FS170.html

It was gone an hour later. I never regretted getting rid of it simply because there isn't enough space for a giant ass TV that I wasn't using.

Nice to eventually have it come back to me.

Eschatos Original Hard 1cc.

Settled an old score with this game since I never did beat Hard mode way back in the day.

I FINALLY cleared TwinBee Yahhoo! on Normal!

This game is very fun, but also very infuriating due to the bell system and rank (which seems to go down somewhat when you die, and is also probably influenced by survival time).
Although you get more points by collecting power-up bells (option, normal arms, etc.) when already powered up I didn't play for score but scored 2.4 million.
I once lost my last life to the very last enemy (the black robot) on the final stage, which was very saddening after all the tension
Although I had extends set to 300,000 and 700,000 points(same as console versions, arcade defaults to no extends, played on MAME) and lost all my lives along the way this has to be one of my hardest clears yet!

I haven't beaten the whole game on Practice yet, but on Practice getting past Stage 3 requires a 50+ bell chain which will surely take some practice.

A quick tip: if you have Gwinbee at the fight with Ace in Stage 4, you can take him down very easily!
Stage 4 also has my favourite boss in the game  (not spoiling)

Cleared Shoot 1UP on Normal at the first attempt and Judgement Silversword on Easy. Played JS before on an emulator but had previously just made it to Stage 29. Found it fairly easy this time, with only the final boss posing any kind of challenge (I had 7 lives going into it and finished with 2 to spare).

During the credits for Judgement Silversword, I got a message saying 'Complete Code: Rayford-Sword'. Anyone know what that does? I don't see an option to input codes anywhere...

Gaiden was the first 1cc I went for after getting back into the genre. Congrats, it's a challenging and immensely enjoyable game.

Minor achievement, but I returned to Dragon Blaze after the Quaid 1-all and managed to 1-all it with both Sonia and Rob (Rob 1-all came the run after Sonia).

Ian seems to be the toughest purely because of how horribly his bomb sucks defensively.

I got a 1cc on Eschatos...on easy normal mode. After playing for like 9ish hours over time. With only 1 extra stock left. And got 86th on the leaderboards.

Th-that's pretty good. R-right, guys? :|

Z city always made me fucked up, the rank is too damn high.

You're right about the game though, especially all of the boss battle is incredible.

Nice, solo play or team? I’d recommend Shorty B or C if you are simply going for the clear.
