I swear, I'm gonna get that trailer theme stuck in my head. Is it going to be the game's opening theme?
Re: DARIUS BURST CHRONICLE SAVIOURS (Windows/PS4/Vita)
That would be James Wragg from Pyramid. The friendly Western face of Dariusburst.
As for that trailer and its music, the whole thing gave me goose bumps. Nothing else in gaming has me even remotely as excited as I am for DBCS.

Yes. I wish I knew the name of the song, though.
Re: DARIUS BURST CHRONICLE SAVIOURS (Windows/PS4/Vita)
I wish I knew the specific release date for the Windows version.

Mad hype for this, my most honorable prediction and once petition coming to life, but if they can keep that bad D&B, totally off-kilter, out of tune crap theme out of the game itself I'll be more than pleased. It's bloody awful.

I always wanted a good shmup for my vita, and I think this is going to be it.
Music in the trailer is very unique.

wow, I won't ever need to play another shmup again, over 200 stages on the new mode alone.

Code for unutterably terrible?
For those that haven't played Burst, the audio is absolutely sublime. The OST is a gorgeous composition, up there with the best and certainly a contender for best of the series. You're in for a treat.
I'm half thinking they cobbled together that aural junk for the trailer to lower expectations and then blow everyone away when they hear what the game actually sounds like.

Sad thing is it would be good if the vocals were better. The style is cool and very "darius", just needs a better performance.

I just saw the interview. Are they randomly generated or something? That number is bananas!Aleksei wrote:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PAX0y5Q7-uo

Re: DARIUS BURST CHRONICLE SAVIOURS (Windows/PS4/Vita)
I'm guessing either procedurally generated or hand-tweaked output from a generator. The arcade modes will probably be the real attraction for many of us here, but those stages should at least be good for selling to a broader audience who would otherwise question paying for a game that you can play through in half an hour. Of course, it could also be pretty fun in its own right.
Re: DARIUS BURST CHRONICLE SAVIOURS (Windows/PS4/Vita)
did I understand this correctly?
AC Mode - arcade port
- Original (arcade port)
- EX (EX arcade port)
- CS has 3000!? stages?
CS Mode - new home version
- has 200 stages?
new ship is inspired by old Taito IP. besides burst laser it has option pods? I can't think of old Taito games that has this?

You know, that's what I thought when I initially wrote that, but it's weird... this song has really grown on me. It gets me excited now. I feel like I wanna cruise down the block with the windows rolled down as I bump that song at full volume.

I'm so hyped now, really looking forward to getting some time on this.
At least with the crazy amount of stages, they shouldn't get reviews saying that it is a short game (they'll just say that all the stages are the same instead)

Re: DARIUS BURST CHRONICLE SAVIOURS (Windows/PS4/Vita)
If you remove vocals, it stays as decent jazz/breakbeat.
I'm disappointed with Zuntata guy. Why not Shohei Tshuchiya, actual main composer of Dariusburst games?interview
