I figured she was a girl purely because she has a cat  I dunno, there's something about cats that screams "girl"

As a cat owner of as-of-yet undetermined gender, I take extreme offense to that! Formless grayish blobs are perfectly entitled to a feline companion without such insensitive stereotyping! ;)

I was speaking more along the lines of "young boy/girl" than of formless grey blobs :P

[Actually, I was expecting some kind of nod to Dr. Claw, to which I would respond that I'd worry if you couldn't tell what Dr. Claw was :? ;)]

I thought she look like a girl, but just cannot confirm due to how she dress herself. :? But this is confirmed very soon.

Actually Niigi did mension she the fact that she is a girl in the game, when the stage 1 boss ask her who she was. I recall her answered she by mension alot of adjective descriping what kind of person she is (I don't know what the adjective means my Japanese is not that good), and then in the end she said "so-la ou-na", means "I am such kind of woman".

So she is a girl no doubt. :o

BYW, I just received an message that my Niigi Gorgeous Blue figure is ready to pick up at the store. :)

I would see if the actual figure is as good as that in the photo. :)

Don't worry... one of the bosses in the game confuses her as a guy too.

So there's a Fumiko figure that's different from the one that came with the PS2?

Went to the store and pick up the Niigi Gorgeous Blue figure I ordered. Total cost US$33.55.

1/8 figure made by PVC. The print job is quite good for a mass production figure. They had done some sharding using air brush by applying some dark color transperant piants. The effect is acceptable. The 'print job' of the eyes are obvious done by water decals.

No awaken trim/molding line is seen on the figure. The details on the figure are done quite well. The posture well designed that it bring out the personalty of the character and is still make it good looking from different angels. :)

If there is a resin kit of this figure, it would be a must buy. :o But yet, who would got the times to play shmups, build kits and work as well.

I'm keeping my eyes open for Yuuki Sayo. If Good Smile keep the series going, there's a good chance she'll appear on Animaxis' preorder lists within the next few months. I usually get their newsletter sent to my e-mail, so I'll keep everyone interested posted if it happens.

You never know. After Yuuki Sayo, maybe Yukari and Arala as well ^_-

*fingers crossed*

As for the Shikigami manga, I've got one of the volumes. Looks like a collection of fan-made stories though, but worth a look. Quite a number of them pop up on YAJ from time to time.

A little off-topic, but those of you who enjoyed the PS2 game Disgaea (Makai Senki Disgaia (sp?) I think it's JPN name was), and like myself have a bit of a figure collecting habit, might be advised to watch out for Etna coming from Good Smile in March. I've sent off an e-mail to Animaxis about stocking the figurine ^_-
