Latest SFV character: Middle-eastern guy who's apparently borrowing Vyse's techno-eyepatch from Skies of Arcadia.

Do a Google image search for Alberto and Cervantes from Giant Robo...

I thought he was a guest character from Tekken 7 at first.

Speaking of which, I wonder if Tekken x Street Fighter will ever come out.

This is what happens when you sell your IP to people who don't give a shit about games.

Was kidding, because it looks a lot like that KOF pachinko.
Maybe the two games share bits of code ?

Am I the only one who thinks Rashid looks cool? They finally have the Middle-East covered in their "World warrior" concept, plus he just looks fun to play. I'd take him any day over Necalli.

I like it too. Everyone I spoke to thought he was pretty cool looking too.
and yeah, I think Rashid is better than Necali's design by far
Come check out my website, I guess. Random stuff I've worked on over the last two decades.

Yeah, I mean I might not be sold on his little eyepiece thing, but the costume itself looks pretty cool IMO. And as far as quick & flashy guys go I already like him better than El Fuerte.

He's by far more exciting than any of the new characters introduced in SFIV, including Gouken and Oni. But what I don't understand is constant nitpicking on the only blot of colour in his design. Without it he'd be nothing but a tan guy clad in white garbs.

Hakan was repping the ME in IV, and before that we had Pullum in SFEX so not really a new thing.

Gouken and Oni are your picks for notably exciting characters in IV? That sure is an opinion.
IGMO - Poorly emulated, never beaten.

They are basically only new playable characters, not completely new characters. My point was that appreciate Rashid's design more than those two.

She will probly end up being my main; really happy to see her after so long.

Ditto. Though she was never my main in Zero 3 since I couldn't get used to her v-combo. Looks very interesting in this game, especially the possibilty to delay stuff. Also, finally a good looking stage.
Wonder if we're really going to see Urien and Alex next.

That's a great point. My guess is it's the high-tech "futuristic" look of the eyepiece that people don't like.

Well I certainly wasn't counting EX in what I said, those characters can't even re-appear in the mainline series from what I've heard. What I meant was they finally have someone with a (mostly) traditional garb from his region for that World Warrior vibe. Turkey is Turkey, and red oily men are their own thing. So replace "Middle East" with "Arabic countries" if you like.

I hope they do a nice remix of Karin's theme. It's my favorite from alpha.

Yeah, I've never seen a Gamespot Versus video that wasn't entertaining. So many good players.

Do you make it to many USA ST events? I've been somewhat involved in the scene for the last few years. Not as a player, but a supporter/fan.
