Maybe this will be helpfully for you. On MARP scoreboard is recording for japanes version of DoDonPachi with score 572mln. You can playback it wtih MAME in version 60.

I don't know why this is still on MARP, as the description states, its a slowed down recording ("ALL. C-S. -nosound. It is slower an actual machine"). Basicaly its cheating. It won't really teach you anything either as the passes he makes are straight though the middle of bullet swarms. I have some real japanese DDP superplays that show how to bullet herd the later stages correctly.destructor wrote:Maybe this will be helpfully for you. I think he means MAME in general is slower than the real PCB. That was recorded a while ago, so I'm sure that build was a good deal slower than the real thing.Dave_K. wrote:I don't know why this is still on MARP, as the description states, its a slowed down recording ("ALL. Yesterday I watched a guy get 481m. He had Hibachi's spirit form down most of the way but got munched in the final moments. The guy knew his DDP for sure.

To get the extra life on stage 3 you have to blow up all the orange boxes before the cockpit thing that has the 1up in it. I think you're allowed to die during this (can't really remember), you just have to make sure you get every orange building (they are on the sides of the ship)aventus wrote:After a long break, I started to play DDP again last night and already got a new combo record - 307 in stage 2
But I don't get the extra life in stage 3 any more. Why?? I died a few times (1 or 2) in stage 3 but this can't be the reason, can it?
